A Dream

subconscious mind agitates
                    happenings screened behind eyes
                    man in sleep watches
Form: Haiku

Resurfacing

resurfacing self doubt
recurring negative
self talk emerging
once again after
being buried for
so long within
the recesses of
the subconscious mind
Form: Lyric

Dream

Dream your dreams come what may.
Never let doubts cloud your way.
Our subconscious mind,
lingers in between.
Life's unforgiving reality,
and what can't be seen.

Subconscious Mind

Like a prehistoric insect

                    Trapped in amber

                              Fully conscious

                                     In utter stillness........

Mundane

mundane
dull
ordinary
mind numbing
retinue
encounters
became the
name of the game
constantly questioning
what has it became
became the norm
within the subconscious mind
Form: Lyric

Snippet Number 1

My subconscious mind reminds me
thoughts of you still linger
Trying to forget the feel of you,
but these thoughts of mine
recollect without permission
Causing a slow submission to my
mental addiction

Unexpected Response

i had an unexpected reaction
an unforeseen emotional response that
arose from the emotive graveyard
of the subconscious mind
when you unexpectedly
stepped out of the past
and into the present
were you do not belong
Form: Lyric

Memory Suppression

suppress memories
lock them away behind
a steal door that leads
to a hidden room deep
within the subconscious mind
never to be re-opened again
leave them there to rot away
and wither and die
burred underneath years
of regret
Form: Lyric

Preconceived Notions

preconceived notions
detrimental to outcome
projection filled profiling
done by the subconscious mind
of the hurt pride
creating wounds
creating scars
never able to heal
always carry around
within the soul emotional
toxins
Form: Lyric

Thinking of Her

There are stars, clouds and a bright moon.

But with her not there to share the view, it loses meaning.

Basically, a black sky.

Missing her and sometimes not.

The tides come in and out.

Who can tell the tidings of the subconscious mind?

Hanging on the equilibrium of attributes
And getting engaged to the subconscious mind
Builds blocks of self growth to maturity
Into a refining engine where character permanently molds, and
Traits combine to form a complete identity.

the snake is dead and yet it writhes
demons in dreams spawned by ego
as subconscious mind is dissolved
poised in stillness we just let go

nonchalance takes pole position
the gunas three loosen their hold
both within form and the vast void
light of Self is all we behold

Subconscious Mind Song

Dark night, cold rain
you and I standing there
beyond our understanding
the ocean our domain

in front of it we shiver
trying to decipher

Subconscious mind is showing us
the dream has taken over us
what is the meaning of the signs
Have we met in another life?

Handcuffs Latch

handcuffs latch
locked tight
key was lost
in time
never able
to be found
again
lost forever
within the
sands of
the hourglass
of the hidden
past self that
has ran away
never to break
free from the
glass prison
of the hourglass
of the subconscious mind
Form: Lyric

Seemed So Real

seemed so real
was just a dream
a subconscious
desire that will
never come into
the light of reality
only exists within the
dream state can never
escape into the waking
state it's all a game
played within the stage
of the subconscious mind
and that is were it will
forever remain
Form: Lyric

as yet haunted by dream images
anchoring consciousness in the mundane
in the waking state we dwell in heart
to vanquish our subconscious mind insane

empty of concepts, attention internalised
silence our default orientation
nonchalant to ripples that rise and subside
we are poised in all time meditation

Premium Member Footprints

memories of past lives led are stored
as footprints in our subconscious mind
and they oft appear to us in dreams,
that we may relive moments left behind

as long as these thought forms arise
does it not signal attachment residue
how then can we reap fruits of silence
displaying pristine rapture’s virgin hue

Premium Member Grows the Night

As the night grows, dreams get more thicker
a storehouse of the subconscious mind
opens to reveal unknown secrets
braiding lurking fears, secret desires...

As the night grows, fantasy mushrooms
moon cradle or sinking in a chasm
waking happy or sad, depends on
mysteries revealed, as the night grows.

Sleep and imagine
Precision
Cushioned sleep
A soul to keep
Journey into the hidden mystery
Perhaps a theory
Open door
A dream to explore
Possibilities angle
A could into would
Hope in should
Magical behind the subconscious mind
Expectation
Observation
The dream’s presentation
Expect the unexpected
Just believe

Sleep

Another day has passed
Now it's time to sleep
My mind is still longing
For all I couldn't keep

Drifting into dreamland
The subconscious mind takes hold
Visions dance through my brain
Where my dreams unfold

In a dream
Nothing matters
Because it isn't real

In a dream
Nothing matters
Because I'm holding you still

Premium Member Who Am I

Who am I Our subconscious mind does gently remind, life as manifest, is but a soul test. The test’s simply this: be to become bliss, seeing God in all; this truth now recall. There’s no ‘you’ or ‘me’ ~ all that is, is ‘we’. Each drop’s the ocean, of love in motion. 18-June-2022

Premium Member Gifts of silence

What if silence too is a script we conjure,
tapping into subconscious mind, befooling
ourselves, as we sidestep the truth of what is …
   bemused by ego?

Trapped in swamps of dark desires, bound by beliefs,
how else can we exit this matrix unless
thoughts cease, that thus grace invoked, our soul’s eye sees …
   noumena within?

Emotions Rise

emotions rise
feelings spread
thoughts grow
conscious mind
realizes them
subconscious mind
holds onto them
locking them all
up within the prison
of the mind's eye
never allowing them
to run free to grow
and change
inhibits them from
escaping their prison walls
that they themselves have
built up around themselves

The Guilt of An Innocent Poet

It was my own thought
My own poem with a novel quote
I smiled with a poet’s pride
I let my pen bleed and slide
I wrote it down
Framed it for my wall

Familiar words caught my eye
A strangers name in the byline
The poem was many years older than mine
Is it an unintended recovery from subconscious mind?
I’m distraught
It is too similar to call my own

Deja Vu

Somewhere, in my subconscious mind, I'm consciously unconscious, as I stand here still, very still,
Adamantly adamantine; still time's running past me in a stiller stillness.
I stare at things, and look right back, to see the things look back at me,
With eyes that con, so I know this thing, it has happened before; but I'm always looking for something more.
