Bee Sting

Bee whirred,
the wings,
making that,
sound,
I was occupied in that,
thinking what it meant,
I discovered it truly,
only when it had stung.

The Sting

Youth
fledgling, callow
generation rising, aging, accepting
cars, jobs, regrets, pains
secluding, denying, resenting
tolerating, unaccepting
adulthood

i knew a bee that could sing

it worked for a queen and king

but they preferred honey

and paid it no money

now it sings backup for sting.

Like the Sting of Scorpions

Like the sting of scorpions
you strike again and like a foolish child
I keep reaching out my hand
only for shear misery & pain
awe...love never fail
war

The sting

The stinging feeling afterwards
On my thighs
I still just got to lie
"I'm okay"
I try to say.
Then I put on my fake smile
My overthinking is worth miles

There once was a donkey from Delhi
Who dared call a tiger's breath smelly
Tiger roared out in great rage
Which donkey could not assuage
And ended up in tiger's belly

Wrongful Convictions

Yes, In God We Trust,

but alas!

We break that trust like beehives

and poisonously sting with wrongful convictions

and destroy innocent lives !

He forgot her birthday again
She tries not to care
But it hurts deep inside
She thought she meant something to him
She’s not at all impressed

Salt Water

Water turns to salt
Leaving behind a bitter sting
The ghost of the ocean sings
Salt turns to light
Turning the bitter into haze
The light turns to you
And I feel right in place

Born To Sting

He was born to sting, sting
He stings men who smile
He stings men who fight
He stings women who love
He stings those who mourn
He stings kids play jovially
He stings everyone in society
Because he swallowed bees,
That time he was still a baby

Betrayal sting

Betrayal of my Fu,
Is a knife to heart.
Stabbing so hard, piercing so deep
Makes one's eyes bleed.

Spring Sting

In early showers of spring
Fields ripen as willows throw a gentle ring
Snakes witness to ravens beaming stealth
Hearty gossip thrills are wilderness with wealth
We play in small remote ponds of mud
Dance and run into the sun
Can you feel its blushing sting

Premium Member Sting of a Needle

The cards that he holds are deluxe,
when crazy is detailed influx,
     and shot after shot
it hits the same spot —
the sting of a needle for bucks.

German man sells vaccine cards after getting
a Covid shot over and over again! 90!

No Sting

So glad
The rose
To ope,
To close,
And ope
Again
For rain.

So glad
The cloud
To roar
So loud,
And pour
A-main
The rain.

But Bee,
He sad;
But Bee,
He mad;
He be
A bee
In vain.

But Boy,
He laugh,
And Boy,
He sing;
He hath
No sting
But rain.

A Parting Sting

This morn I found a world of snow,

I did not see it falling though.

It fell quietly as I slept,

Upon the slumbering land it crept.

Winter's gift, a parting sting

Before she steps aside for spring,

A final flurry, a wave goodbye.

Her last hurrah, fell from the sky.

Honey To a Sting

by Michael J. Falotico
inspired by Dr. Ram's "Love XVII"

                                                       lady bumblebee..
                                            tastes of honey all throughout..
                                               wrong words, feel the sting..

The Song and Sting of September

It sings with a voice that stings two skies,
That fades the summer yet can’t evade autumn.
September holds both the warmth and the cold,
Of summer’s truthfulness and autumn’s youthfulness.
As northern breezes chill, leaves whisper red on each hill,
A thousand wonders still thunder one name—

A Bee's Love Sting

Mystical Queen Bee,
Navigates Her Territory....
...Savaging To Protect
Her Innocence Inside The
Sweet Nector Of A
Bloomed Flower.
Where She'll Explore Natures
Beast Among A Love:
Extravaganza!!!
As She's Bound To Love You;
Or Sting You.... So Watch
Your Back, No I gotcha ya back
Lover... NO WORRIES!!!! It won't hurt...

The Empty Sting

Your coddled mind
Believing what is not
You said I have a thing for you
You said you are my queen
True only to the people you dare

Sorry, my queen
There is no reason for you
There is no thing for you
I am not meant for you

You thought I didn’t know
But, my heart is for another
That is the truth for who I dare

Premium Member The Cold Sting

Yeah.
Bought the ring
Tutti Frutti
Five-karat bling.

Toast a brew
We had a drink
Big scandal grew
Felt the cold sting.

Face tabloid news
Waiting till spring.
Winter time choose
A Double will fling.

Blue Gucci shoes
Songbird can sing.
Ten years gone past
Didn't mean a thing.

Whole Truth
Without spin
Both lose
Nobody wins.

Premium Member My Earliest Memory: a Bee Sting

Buzzing around the sun
Green glistening with skin
As I finger-poke for fun
And bleed open my sin

Brother runs out from the shouts
Pouring peroxide on the prick
While in the mirror I see the doubts
Band-aid wrapping round to stick.

Memory fades from there
As hallways slip into darkness
The mind a wandering hare
The heart the harrowing lightness.

Premium Member A Sting

A lash,
which from an eye might fall,...
will not be felt-

so small a thing
will not be mourned

A tear
which from the eye might fall,...
is like a thorn-

so small the sting
it, must be borne

It dissipates, upon your face
soon disappears, all trace is gone,...

yet leaves a face, forever burned

A Sting In the Tale

Old hillbilly Huck was no prude;
He picknicked outside in the nude.
But a bee left a sting
On his ding-a-ling-ling
And neighbours heard something quite rude!

Strutting about like you'll outlive God.
Take control of the throne.
You in that loud, notice-me sports car.
Weaving in and out of traffic.
On the byways of your little man planet.
Racing to a family that doesn't respect you but fears you.
As you vroom up your long driveway.
They honeycomb themselves in their rooms.
Hiding from the arrival of the repetitive sting.
