Unicorns

Riders exert steering forces
Horses respond and track courses
For gait-along ease
A dah-dit leg squeeze
Serves steeds and their Morse code sources

Green Land

The land is green
In flag and corns
Her coat is green
And her steeds' horns.

The land is green
So footest her harvest
Her coat is green
And so win her chest.

Horses

Horses,
stirring, noble,
rearing, running, playing,
with nobility of spirit.
Fine steeds,
their grace and beauty touching us,
pulling, riding, racing,
striving, faithful
equines.

Once Upon a Sun

Once upon a sun, bright and cold..
Steeds giggled in teases for knots
Lovely mares; strong stallions behold
Once upon a sun, bright and cold
Green fields grinned, as lovers unfold
Sprinkling the sky with Rosy thoughts
Once upon a sun, bright and cold
Steeds giggled in teases for knots

Rod and Racer Reunion

They bring their metal steeds

to show or run the 1/4 mile.

Their cars are bright and swift

they make the crowd all smile.

They are from times of old

bright memories they hold !

Premium Member Gabriel's Horn

Earth bound steeds rise mindful to soar for love of sky,
racing in the cresting peaks, adrift as if to fly.
Up from the sea the winged fish leap, swimming to the sun
even conch shells dreaming cry to wing upon the breeze,
as the roar of tempest rings the salt souls to appease.
Ah, the clarion call of Gabriel's horn, bliss for everyone.

Wee Music

The soft blue fairies sail on azure wings,
All embellished with flower rings
And garments of woven weeds.

Without a sound they come down from above
To the mossy carpet ground they love,
On their tiny blue fairy-winged steeds.

And then they sing and strike up their band,
And dance around, hand-in-hand,
As they blow on their fluted reeds.

Jewels of the Ocean

Among the seagrass, slow they canter

Darling steeds of the sea,

Days spent anchored to a frond

Or currents shape their destiny.

Gentle creatures, captivating

Hypnotic in their motion.

Seahorses, they hold us rapt

Little jewels, of the ocean.

May he swing

                     In his rope,

                                        that he placed on America

As America steeds away, as his horse sends him hanging in the wind
Let the rot of his stench send a message to all those Democracy will always prevail over fascism Your gop has no place in our country

Premium Member Memories of a Carousel

I chose to ride the unicorn So high up off the ground There began a little dream When I went round and round Wonderful magic that I found Moving colors did my eyes adorn Like lovely ribbons to astound Knowing now my steeds white horn Forever to that carousel bound Now I, my childhood do mourn When I went round and round...

Cheater's Chair

A destructive dance indeed,
betwixt the two we bleed.
A bellowing, bloody abate,
this stale, seductive state.

Simple, senseless steeds,
jealous fires feed.
Perjuring petty plights,
demons do delight.

A crimson, cheaters chair,
awful angers air.
No trust, truth or taste,
wallowed wantons waste.

Envious, eager eyes,
rejoicing a wrathful rise.
Coveting, careless couth,
yesteryear's eager youth.

Knight At Arms

knight at arms the hills are freezing!
vale and ways with fog are laden
Steeds in awe at peaks are gazing
Smiles at them nature maiden

Phantoms by the lakes are lurking
Death and fate on ways are walking
Wood is full of fear and horror
But Thou go, O go on Farer!

By the yonder dusky lining
Sun from ocean sip is taking
In the shades of stars of evening
Dreamy castle for Thee waiting

Premium Member Loving Pearl Softly Singing Through the Ink

An artist paints a picture out of darkness
from the seven colours of sunshine's sparkle

Divine beauties bridge over this promise made real
ocean waves unfolding white steeds galloping to shore

Kissed by the sand salted footprints remain begging
as the stream flows down a mountain faced horizon

Echos bounce within deep caves whispering winds lament
currents move tides caressing the sea fragrance

Fiction

Words are like magic,
A journey to the other side
Following the heroes of fiction
into scenarios we hope for ourselves
The flame in the back of a creative mind flickers
Inspiration gathered from the shadowed hearts of mankind
Telling tales of noble deeds and gallant steeds that saved the world as we know it.
The written story takes us somewhere that we could never get to without the help of a
good book.

Jagmusiek

Jag musiek

Verworpe noot van harts-musiek
Het jy by my in die kerk versoek
Ek het gesing die Eng’le-lied
Vir daardie Engel in die Boek

Verlore is my sang-talent
My toekoms wonder ideal.
Maar die blomme het hul saad gegooi
Vir jou is daar weer ietsie mooi

My toekoms bly steeds oop, maar toe
Oopte vir veranderings, en toe om net te proe
Tot dan ten minste, so sê ek
Die nag sal kom wat ek vertrek…

I love

Dimpled dents, not potholes I love,
Fair unfair both, all doles I love.

With most voted horses on sale,
Steeds, stallions, colts and foals I love.

Popular may be peoples’ rule,
Ought such recurrent polls I love?

If scored with the fair ends and aims,
All penalty scored goals I love.

Should they turn to diamond one day,
Carbons of all the coals I love.

The Spirits of the Wind

The Wind howls,
an anguished cry
a peircing scream.....
Whilst spirits huddle around the bed,
the spirits of the wind.
Mounted upon their firey steeds
they too,
howl,
and cry,
and scream.

A weary sigh,
a faint whisper,
a painfilled moan.....
and the spirits have claimed her for their own,
the spirits of the wind.
on their snorting stallions they fly away
leaving me shattered to
sigh,
and whisper,
and moan.

Camelot

Only history can know
Can the legend of Camelot be true?
Merlin himself helped make it a mystery
A wondrous place with skies of blue

Excalibur's strong splendor
Only makes other weapons pale
Lancelot, Guinevere and Arthur the King
On galloping steeds they rode, over hill and over dale

Only they know the secrets it held
To have been there would have been grand
If even on the wing of a bird
The legend will always stand

Efforts On Reels

More coals to the gleeds,
And more speed for the steeds,
Slumbering for the fire,
To burn on the pyre.

Time and time again on wings,
Flies time through climes,
Seasons with the birds cling,
Sing impatient rhymes.
A new day bursts unclouded,
Life again comes unshrouded,
Carried on eagle's flight,
Hurries to dark night.

Bring visions anew,
Keep pace with time's heels,
Play wisdom a cue,
Make efforts go on firm reels.

Plowing With Horses

The horses hitched, the team stands ready
The farmer’s hands on reins firm steady
Prepared to work with heads held proud
To challenge fields that lie unplowed.

With gentle hands he guides the crew
To plow the furrows straight and true
At corners turn, a pure ballet
These mighty steeds, grand Boulannais.

All day long they mind their plowing
Weather fair, daylight allowing
The three of them all work as one
The farmer and his team ‘til done

Horses

Horses, hearty and hale,
Hither they hurry, hooves hitting the trail.
Hear their harmonious hum,
Heavy with history, homeward they come.

Heads held high, with haughty grace,
Hair flowing free, a flowing mane's embrace.
Harness and halter, a humbling hold,
Humble steeds, stories untold.

Hoofs beat a rhythm, a rhythmic refrain,
Horsepower and heart, a powerful strain.
Heroes of history, heroes of yore,
Horses, forever, we'll forever adore.
