Premium Member Gay Clown

I am ‘eebygum’ the circus clown
who’s face when working a painted frown,
without suffers stage fright
courage returns each night,
when this queen wears his improvised crown.

Stage Flight

Stage Flight

How I talk is a flawed wiggle
Wish it were how I scribble
To pay back for being afeared
Moses grew a lengthy beard;
Though he endured stage fright
Mine is worst it is stage flight!

Poetry Night

Icebreaker
Stomach in a knott
Got the jitters
Got the runs
Anxiety on its high.

Made a choice to recite
Poetry of the night
Heart pounding
Knees shacking
Eyes bulging
Crowd waiting.

MOTHER
This decision isn't right
Crowd staring
Words choking
Got stage fright.

Having doubts
Looking scared
Holding onto the mic
MOTHER
I need to take a quick flight
Got to get out of sight.

The Way It Is

Looks likes its a tuff crowd tonight,
and yes I have stage fright,
 but that's quite alright.
 Because my words
will always deliver a powerful bite.

So matter what,
I will always fight racism
first with my left
then the knock with my right.

All this comes straight from my dome
where all my thoughts can freely roam.
And if don't like what you hear,
then I suggest you stay home.

Sweaty palms
And a nervous stomach
Getting up in front of a crowd.
Everyone staring
Waiting and listening
For me to speak out loud.
Butterfly sensation
My voice begins to crack
And the words begin to flow.
I speak and talk
The truth comes out
I stand firm in the glow.
Confidence appears
Fright and worry die
Others judge the sound.
Smiles and laughter
Thoughts achieved
Clapping hands abound.

Stage Fright

My knees go weak
I count down the seconds
Hoping the clock will stop
thinking that maybe if it does
time will stop and I will
not have to get up in front of these
people and give my piece
What was I thinking
The early mornings are killer
My stomach is queasy
My hands shake
I know I get stage fright
Who do I think I am
A great orater
Why do I do this to myself
I get up, stand straight
and say my piece

Delicious Fear

A life savoring seasoning
Time so well spent in fear
Some call it "Stage Fright",
A taste I remember dear

Before the preformance,
As band equiptment does get set,
I look out at our audience
And I wouldn't take a bet

If I will have the balls
To go out there and play
But before I even know it
I'm out there with
the audience to slay

And internal sparks fly
And I'm on a high
without any chemical aid
I'm alive like never before
Purely through the music we have made
