His Name is Not Superman

   He jumps into his pants
     gulps down an espresso
   Fairly flies out the door
     caught up in the flow

  Sprints to the corner
     squeezes onto the bus
  His name is not ‘Superman’
~ He’s just one of us

Marathoning

in the marathon of life
milestones
sprints
coastings
downhills
uphills
the last miles
the most precious
captain of our vessel
guiding it to the finish line
steering
with pride
and determination
going the distance
heading in the right direction

The Flavor of Forever

The clock sprints one way
as we walk the other
the hands intersecting
with our hearts
reminding us
that there was a beginning
and there will be an end,,
A grand expansion
a fantastic contraction
just beyond the black veil
there are no clocks
just the delicate flavor of
forever,

Promptly

Birds sing
Time wings

Buzz words
Now heard

Just start
Fond art

Be brave
Touch saves

New morn
Now dawns

Glimpse grace
Spur race

Wit puns
Seize fun

Laugh loud
Purge proud

Dream dance
Fond chance

Prompt play
Sprints stay

Do well
Love tells

The Race I Failed To Run

In endless steps, I chased the line,
This path I tread, my halt in time.
Each stride I take, a half to go,
A journey bound by fractions solved.

Infinity in finite bounds,
Where motion stalls and thought grew large.
Achilles sprints, the tortoise leads,
My race defined by endless time.

Forever near, forever far,
Where reason left me, here I fall.

Breaking News

david looks at the guy

big
very big

Intelligent
not dumb at all
fast for his size
athletic

the young man picks up a pebble
looks ruefully at his crappy sling

The crowds going wild
jeering
catcalling

david grins
he has good teeth
he's a looker

goliath rubs his forehead
he feels a headache coming on

fortunately

david sprints away
to pray

The Great Enemy

Time is

                      against

                       us all.

                       It has...

two feet, not one, but two, and it sprints...

out of reach when we remain idle.

Stag

Mellow and magnificent,
he grazes in the dawn.
His power is unquestioned here,
Guardian of doe and fawn.

Serenity is parted, broken,
peace is split asunder.
Seeking flesh, those famished come,
with hearts of granite, gaits of thunder.

He sprints with vigor, youth, and fear,
he dashes through dark and day,
but keen and starving, they yet are swift,
exhaust consumes, thus he falls prey.
So many kill and die this way.

Pink Ladies

Should I tell a pink tale

I wish these were pink printS

Though it were a tale stale

They run more than sprints.

To gain the eye of classic

Eves who wore the kill

To keep a class pink basic

Eves with a beauty spell.

It were but a style bully

Adams who breathed after

Came with results surly

Their ruin beginning chapter.

Yet, they forgot beauty fades

Pink the colour remains

Blemished they, a pure hue

For they had not its true clue.

Time

That ever elusive continuum
Which one thinks shall be, is suddenly now, and then has been already
Consistent, precise, and measurable
Beware the charlatan
Who sprints and creeps with equal ease
Lunged after but never held
You escaped once more
And then dispersed like the morning mist
Insensitive, indifferent and undeterred
Unconcerned about pain or pleasure
Rude and fickle and frugal
Friend or foe
Is it worth asking
What are you to me?

Passage

Speed
Fits need
Where joy feeds

Noise
Blinds poise
In poor choice

Zest
Sprints jest
To know fest

Whole
Pure soul
Pole to pole

Rhymes
String chimes
In space-time

Ask
To bask
In your tasks

Plan
You can
Word your span

Craft
Joy drafts
To fit raft

End
Greets trend
Round the bend

Taste
Less waste
In wild haste

Bring
Each fling
That now springs

The Songbird Of Spring

One sunny morning sweet small Sue sees sitting up, in a sapling a songbird is seated on silky flower cup. It’s a scarlet vested slim and shy swirling Robin, she sighs sad, “so long your show I haven’t seen”. “Skipping winter snow I soar, my swift wings I spin”, small Robin sings, “for you scenic spring sends me in”. At sunrise the Robin sprints on the spray of sun ray, Sue strides on surge of joy, so it shines her smiling day.

Scented Leaves

A walk through the forest
a breath of fresh air
a cardigan feel
shades of soft teal
Soft crispy leaves with audio crunch
mingled in tariqua paths;
The humusk and scent of a leaf in the wind
the musky sweet hint, a permeate fresh ;

Here lives the deer
and the rabbit that sprints
as I walk through the forest
in search of myself,
the tinniest leaf falls asleep, at my feet.

The Devil Takes the Night Off

Think about the exertion
The schedule insatiable
The orgasmic rounds
He has to make
Greasy, idle hands
Come calling
Sleazy wild glands
And their sweet appallings
Every night
Every day
The sordid sprints and marathons
In every indulgent way
How many ****
Can one guy fondle
How many cocks
Can inspire a rondle
The King of Sleaze
Has begun to wheeze
So grant him respite
Before those horns of plenty
Fail to connect or sustain
His wicked signal of sin.
