I saw him, the spectre, watching, stealing my life.
His dark mouth and toothless grin, hid from all light,
while all near, withered at its feet.

And when he pointed his rasping, barbed finger at me
in the half-light; I felt its pull; its sting, its ghostly glue, 
leading me to him.

apostle of deep gloom, 
wingless spectre, 
mutinous apparition, 
beautiful shadow, 
hold firm the prow and keel, 
and provoke not the gentle embers of flesh under fire, 
those delicate beacons of light, 
splitting shadows with each shattered photon, 
piercing the anarchy of night’s eternal illusion, 
God particle, 
divine paradox, 
cupped in the palm…oh human child....

Through Tin Hearts,
shallow pleadings
wander unwillingly with time,
in concert with
a melancholy spectre
of Love's past.
Surely, it must not
be too late
to borrow these moments
nor to clear
the hollowness
that echoes from
the smithery of despair.
Empty of it's consortion ,
Hope desires respite.
Loneliness,
on the other hand,
always has
an eager
companion.

on England's blight
Give Labour a chance
invest in peoples power

four eyes,
five hands,
and two heads,
they could not beleive,
he was there,
and born,
but they had to,
when they saw him ahem!,
what could they do,
look bewildered and flat,
and in shock do a full spat,
they walked around,
looked him full,
it was an average hour,
they spent with him,
in single or groups,
then they returned,
very seldom to come back,
to work their lives,
with two legs,
two eyes,
two hands
and a head....

Absent love leads phantom duty
My running pen speaks not so bright
In its ink hide ghosts by night

It’s intimate with willing paper
White bond drinks up all black vapor
The curves, the contours, strokes—I gape!
Appear in spectral words of shape

And whisper sounds from verse I fashion
But lacking substance, wraith-like passion
Attempts the work of a lover missing
Does not convince my lip she’s kissing....
