The incomparable Mahalia Jackson
Her celestial singing voice sprung a stunned reaction

The "queen of gospel music"; a soul-stirring siren
They don't make em' like her anymore. A true titan!

THE BINARY DIVIDE

AI’s answers—a sad, cold vibe—
To a life lived by the book, beside.

A sclerotic sense, a pallid dread,
When doctrinaire or fanatic is read.

A code’s cul-de-sac moment: prose-weaver’s craft, soaring!
Literature—a proclaimed soul-stirring engineering.

the wild ride, you in driver’s seat accelerating slow- ly. you’re in charge of my heartbeat - no brakes in paradise. the final momentum a feat. soul-stirring breaths, in flight, free ecstasy so sweet.

winter is becoming
my new best season
o how I’m loving
retired life
the hibernating months
of self-indulgence
the muffled nights
of glittery fallen snow
the soul-stirring feeling
of blissful seclusion

Like Everyone Else

So I thought once if I could make for you
sweet heart, as evergreen as you stay true
to me though mournful in your bearing oh
soul; pure of my league, calm of my thought, row
me to shore same as the rest. surely I
should falter and yield here as I transform.
If I felt whole, if I felt love in my
soul stirring at nights dreaming I should storm.

My Destined Starlight

Soul
Breaking
Lies whispered,
Seeking escape,
Soaked in caged deceit;
Mimes mocking withering
Posies, left parched and sundered—
Suspended beneath obscured dusks,
Dripping amidst blinding aftermaths,
Idly shadowed by lewd scars of talons
Amidst alcoves of echoing nocturnes
Unshackled by your sweet afterglow,
Healing me with the elixir
Of our dawning horizons,
Strumming eurythmic tunes,
Suppressing starless
demons, betwixt
Soul-stirring
Destined
Love.
