Songbird sing to me
Your sound soothes my very soul
It’s the sound of peace
The calmness overwhelms me
Sing… sing and don’t ever stop
The bird sang a melodic tune
As the world around her
Fell to ruin
Didn't falter - Didn't cry
Even though she knew
She was going to die
I glisten
in the shining wind. . .
oh, songbird, fly me away

Free denizen of the sky,
The songbird is now in cage,
Flapping its tired wings in vain.
Yet the caged bird sings!

confident robin
trilling beauty through the air
my day is complete
gleaming feathers shine
whilst the songbird sweetly sings -
a melodic tune

Why do people
Hurt the songbird
Only because it sings?
Is it wrong for it to
Sing it's songs for all to hear?
I am a songbird.
This I know.
the songbird
walks through
the sky
with its wings
stretched out wide
that burst
through the
clouds somehow
as it sings
reach for
higher ground
Chee chee chee chee
De boo de boo de boo
Swee swee swee
Tree tree tree
Bru bru bru
De boo de boo de boo
Song of a songbird I heard today
Which one is it?
blithe is the songbird
chiming on velvet gold plumes
melody fills spring
june wind props avian flight...
leaving me sad notes, goodbye
I listened to his sweet refrain,
How I loved his melody.
To my delight he sang again,
From the branches of a tree.
I imagined, that he'd sang for me.
Fragrantly
In the garden - Fragrantly feed me
Your body beats upon my heart
Sounding like the songbird
We speak without words

Birds
bright colorful
floating, perching, chirping
a heart’s warming chirp
Songbird
My Old Indian Beech frontyard tree
My evergrowing songbird family
My chair by inherited shelf of books
My circle of virtual mentors from
Whom I learn at my time of ease
Songbirds are singing
all day long
they sing a melody
their notes sweet and strong
songbirds sing
their gleeful little songs
but this songbird sings
the staying strong song
As the sun rises, he greets it on its way
A cheerful hello - nothing more, nothing less
For he has no need of an explanation
He says hello not because he must, but because he can
brown-black male koel

Ariana Grande, a gorgeous talented lady
A songbird from heaven, a voice smooth as gravy
Notes exquisite
Phrasing so delicate
Her sultry vibes are velvety and chocolaty
I'm not a fan of today's music scene
BUT if you've never heard Ariana Grande sing
You're in for a treat
Pure voice so complete
A glorious songbird you'll know what I mean
Summer Song
Serenade slowly sweet songstress,
Sing soft sombre sonnets,
Something, somehow, someone shares,
Seduced somewhat, songbird spirit,
Steadily sending summer sprung.
