White chalk vandalizing it
Words and numbers haunting it
Pens scribbling to reflect it
Eraser smudging
Knowledge forever encrypting its life...

Broken Pen
smeared wet ink

smudging letters on love-note

emotions half shown

Or

smeared ink

smudging last perfumed love - note

love gone green

Or

smeared black ink

smudging last scented note

love absorbs darkness....

Just Rain At Dusk
those drudging blues
spat upon by smudging greys
pulsating with suns
sinking tendrils
rains might has bent each leaf head
and from its benevolent praise
nights perfume cloud
slowly infiltrates
rainbow slicked petrol inked puddles
show echoes of stars that were..once...

Premium Member Tears of a clown
Don't let the painted layers that were made to make up , stop you from questioning the feelings behind their costumes and gown.

The slightest smudging, by which sympathetic fingers smear, unmasks fear, and an underlying frown

At the end of every day, when curtains close and the lights die down. Floodgated tears emerge, from the sad eyes of a person

Perceived only, but a CLOWN...

Her Painting of Him
Using brushstrokes of her imagination,
She painted him beautifully..
Sometimes in a variety of hues,
Sometimes in colors that didnt exist..

Omitting the scars,
Smudging his arrogance,
She colored him to perfection,
Adding a dash of his desires..

In the thirsty, white canvas,
She trapped him into permanence..
Atleast,here he belonged to her,
Hung in a frame of unfinished love.....

Premium Member Orchard Smudging
Orchard Smudging Written: by Miracle Man 3/28/2024 When, heavy frost was forecast, for all the area and reaches. Orchards would burn smudge pots, trying to save their peaches. A northwesterly wind whispers, through recently budding trees. We pray the temps don’t fall, and the peach buds don’t freeze. Smudging is not widely practiced today due to health concerns.

Bones of Winds
Inside, the battle wages.
One step down,
I drown myself in the frowns
of a thought. Night sucks at my fear.

The rhyme of the fading moon
intends to fix me up.
I refuse to smell the breath
of the catch.

I bloom on the pain,
sweetened kill of the day. An empty jump
in void of a portrait;
shaking wall.

Watercolors were ruined
by smudging the reasons.
Clutching the bones of winds, falling
from the sky.

Premium Member Resounding Parade
early morning rain,
sound off insane...
  only rain,
a resounding parade,
frothing with power
for a few hours —
brought back the cold.
bleak sticks and gray stones,
wind and leafless trees again
colorless sky.
                   i may have to trade,
       once again,
thin shirt for warmer weather —
a sweatshirt or sweater.
  no snowmen
    smudging my window,
only twirling wet prints
of birds, foxes, umbrellas.

Into the Swamp
The mango grove hums,
insects sing in the scratchy thrum,
the wet-lead air.

Knee-deep, the water sweats
a dark smudging fear.

We are a party of four,
four machetes,
four slouch hats,
four men looking for
reasons.

Trailing tendrils snatch at us,
lacerate skin and courage.

After a few hours
we are drained,
barely speaking
just wading our way
inwards,

all four
longing for

that tropical beach bar
and the girl
we left behind it....

My Friend Has Gone Mad
My friend has gone mad
She is barking all over the place
She is making friends with ducks
And smudging dirt over her face

My friend has gone mad
She can't even think right
I know she couldn't do that before
But now she is a fright

My friend has gone mad
She looks like Einstein
She has bombed all her hair
They look like hedgehog's spines

My friend has gone mad
And it's all because of thee
But now that she is mad
She puts all the blame on me!...

Premium Member Cracks In the Facade
Like smeared from tears mascara
Streaks of rain water stream down
Smudging pigeon feces on embossed chipped bricks

Once green, now bare and whitened
Naked brittle ivy cling on...
To and through; the cracks of the façade

To the eave...I've climbed those old chipped bricks
Atop the old school that once taught
Ahh, the teachers, the kids...the young me

Back To the Heart
Meanness, he never got his way,
His subtle belittling, he dug his own grave,
With each pile of dirt he dug up for himself,
Had nothing to do with anyone else,
Smudging love in the face, he refused to learn,
He causes his own suffering, he brought it to birth,
He uses pain to feel alive,
He never gave love the chance to live inside,
Twisted up heart, why can't you see,
That you create your own reality,
Change your mind, Change your thoughts,
Find your way back to your heart.....
