Broken Pen

smeared wet ink smudging letters on love-note emotions half shown Or smeared ink smudging last perfumed love - note love gone green Or smeared black ink smudging last scented note love absorbs darkness.

I have a sudden urge to do some finger painting. All three of these are infused with emotions. Sometimes love can be a messy endeavour.

Oh my, Sophie's Choice, they're all impacting, if I had to choose just one, I'd go with the first. Smeared ink is always a problem. Great Charmaine.

Hi Charmaine. These are all very good. I especially like the reference to "emotions half shown." I guess we've all written love notes as we cried. Powerful emotions make for great poetry! Love, Carolyn

I really liked all three, Charmaine. But the last one captivated me ... love absorbs darkness ... that is a devastatingly powerful line. The RW (Romantic Warrior) urge you to trademark that wonderful phrase. Anywho, this is the first poem of yours I've read. I'm in for an enchanting adventure through your mind. Much love and peace to you.

I'm with Chris on the first...but I do like less words on the first line..either wet or black would be enough...but do like them both

Oh that third one is amazing...that is deep and I like how the jet-black goes with darkness

They are both wonderful but if I had to choose a fave , the first one would be my choice. I love what it says, so few words but such a huge message. Really nice Charmaine, both of them.
