Siomai

Wrapped in dough like small flowers
Cuisine from the past
Filled fillings from all seasons
Stood the test of time
Sideline dish with tea
Ready for
Me!

What
are we all
doing here
on the sideline

damaged
needing repair
in a lineup
getting processed
waiting for a tuneup

our turn thru the puppy mill
longing to rush back
pick up the pace
speed spinning
our hamster wheel

What Outrages Me!

Wow, is this a joke?!
I'm standing on the sideline looking at him choke!
I should be up there, showing off my stroke.
Instead I'm warming up the bench acting like the Joker!
I'm no magician so when calls me out to try and save the day, all I have is jokiness in my
brain.

The Game

We made another touchdown
Without a penalty
As children on the playground
Full of amenity

You made it to the zone
Again without a flag
We act the same when grown
In formation zig zag

Now we're at the field goal line
No fumble in our grasp
Stay inside the sideline
Three points again I gasp

Premium Member time for the bench

In debate a gallop called Gish
Scored points like a basketball's swish
That Joe could not block!
So now taking stock
Biden's sideline walk is our wish

DT's sick slick lies and his bunk
Were passed past the player who stunk
Since Donald can trick
Let's set a quick pick
For a super sub who can dunk

The Free Spirit Joyride Life

here i am
just me
no mirror to look in
no colors or dyes to change me
here i am
just me

there you are
just you
no mirror to look in
no makeup or synthetic products to change you
there you are
just you

here we go
just us
no budget to worry about
no bills or debt to sideline us
here we go
just us

What Do You Do?

Do you love him?
No.

I need him,
I want him,
My heart belongs to him.

Do you miss her?
No.

I crave her,
I seek her,
I strive to speak to her.

Do you forsake him?
No.

I repel him,
I shun him,
I push away from him.

Do you reject her?
No.

I leave her,
I discard her,
I sideline love to her.

My mind
Trickles down
A lonely page
Blank space remains
I stay
On the edge
Whispering
To the white
I wait
I pause
Thoughts unexpressed
Waiting
On the sideline
I wonder
Who will fill
My empty space
Is it waste
Is beauty
In a pause
Words not said
Never read
Held in mind
Three words confined
Dripped down page
Done

Premium Member Sitting On the Sideline

why do we fuss as we die
where a germ started from
the job of the president was to stop it
from getting here
spreading out and killing us

does a president after a rocket attack
sit on the sideline
watching its markings close up and
pointing out that the rocket came from
a lab or factory in an unfriendly country
as we are laid out

Fire Crackers and Her Smile

Sound of burning fire crackers reminds me of a day
Light from burning fire crackers reminds me of a day
When you were her, joining the group with joy
I watched you from the sideline when your face light up pink
The smile that never faded till you were here
But the feeling engraved within me tells me to cry
I meet you in my dreams and always try to tell you
“I love you mother, you were so blue”

Communication

I step into a room of people.
All are strangers,
To me.

I stand on the sideline
To afraid to talk,
Knowing that I,
Stumble with Communication
And find it hard to get a conversation to flow fluently

Communication,
It's always been my struggle,
It's always been my weakness
But I have to persevere and communicate no matter what
on a daily basis

Communication,
It's a love hate relationship.

The Hbc

No more will his visor slam sideline here,
but forever the HBC our fans will cheer;
he forged a team that fought for glory,
and fielded a squad that was SEC worthy;
while he did not garner a title in hand,
the garnet was tougher in football land;
he taught his players to be better men,
sandstorm polished, a house to defend,
he got the best both on and off field,
now we wonder what his legacy will yield.

Blood and Water

since wrong is wrong,
and right is the only escape route;
can't we just forgive?
let bygones be bygones,
and love afresh renew.

Hold me tight like I was your own;
feed me not with crumbs,
oh brother of my father.
give me the jolly life as a man of caliber.

Do not sideline me
in the merriment of life.
blood is thicker
and water lighter…
let it not vanish;
these bonds we share,
oh brothers of my father.

He Said Nice
Souperstars
Who do you really think who you are,
Tony's and,
Emmy's and,
We only know what the others can't,
You Jane plain,
You Joe plain,
you'll only show on the other end,
Losers you,
Hanging to,
not walk the aisles, sideline smiles, turn blue.
Poetess',
Poets too,
not star-struck but star-caught, living true,
and, Soupers are,
near not far,
for another heart, lest they'd be a rising star.

Sideline's

Sidelines.
I've always wondered as I gotten older why we set on the sideline
While some are better than others Loved more.Memories they have to
last a lifetime, never showing my true feelings as life countinues. Here
comes the sadness of life's time coming to a end. Im lost as its tearing
apart inside wondering why what happened why not me an my sister
what makes us so different.Yet we stand close enough to hear his
breath does he feel me there,Or am I bound to the sideline of life.

Premium Member Living On the Sideline

Who am I now this lonely man bent to the point of break, wishing to share his soul yet existing in hallow void of loneliness and dark realization none are found who would receive it.
Set aside for the busier matters of others lives I struggle in my search for that peaceful joy I once knew in the refuge of loving arms and shared dreams of purpose,,,,,,, now I exist in bleak solitude with full understanding my assigned place is on the sidelines of life- serving the needs and desires of others
