I Seen a Flower
I seen a flower
A delicate flower
Colors of July
The scent undescribable
Dancing at my shins
Asking for attention
I look
I see
I seen a flower...

16 Maribel
Mesmerized by your petty smile

At peace when you’re near

Real breathtaking

Interesting the way you are

Beautiful the way you look

Enjoyment when you are around

Light shins when you’re close...

Popular
If I said I was popular
Then you wou ld laugh in my face
If I said I was smart you would kick me in my shins
But if I said I was stupid they would say yeah
but I like the way I am and this is the best day I ever had...

Wishes

I made wishes: to
have
instant not light shaggy hair, to
have a
not able to
be eaten egg-shaped nut with
yellowish brown shell (no face) as a
head, to
have aluminium shins and
maybe
aluminium eyes.

Crushed
The machine is crushing the man,
bit by bit, toes, shins, knee caps.
The machine is most efficiently
crushing the man, soul and body.
No time to even scream out,
the shock is too incredible.
The machine is crushing the man.
The man incredulous, is crushed....

-i Started Writing, and Then Writers Block Hit
The megapixels join together,
humming, buzzing as they collide,
Forming a haze in negative space.
bloop, bloop, bloop,
I come to life - brought feet first into this world.

Shins cast in light metal,
Socked feet on soft shoes.
A short dress like armor,
and flawless skin....

19 Girls chasing a ball:
Dirty shins, sweaty bodies, bouncing ponytails.
Grass stains galore,
I stand: panting, watching.
Never fast enough for this hunt.
For my father, I must stay.
For my father, I bloody my porcelin knees.
A spotted rocket flies my direction.
Think fast!
Kick! Goal!
Maybe there is hope for me....

Me Plus You
Me plus you equals forever love
Our love flies high like a dove
I show you love and kindness
And in return you call me your highness

Me minus you equals lonely nights
Without you I would lose my light
That shins sos bright
Right next to you I want to be seated
Then I'll know I am completed

Me plus you equals forever love...

Cold Feet
There are days into the sea I step,
Ever mindful of its depth.
Against my shins the froth enchants,
til intrigue tugs me to advance.
While writhing weeds like serpents’ snare
climb in deceit my skin--yet fair--
Rarely do I tread chest high
and never has she scaled my eyes.
Ever mindful, submissive sigh
Most of the time my feet stay dry....

Stumbling
Like a blind man stumbling in the dark
Knocking my shins on the debris of my heart
Arms stretched out seeking a friendly hand
But all I hear is the sound of falling sand
Every time I find the hope I’ll make it through
I trip and fall on discarded memories of you
I hope one day to regain my failing sight
Until that day I remain in endless night...

Mon raison d'être Your face is more beautiful than the Eiffel Tower at sunrise Our amour seemed real, n’est-ce pas? When I first saw you, I sensed déjà vu Your Mona Lisa smile made me wonder Is she a femme fatale? But when you kicked my shins, I knew that I had made a faux pas I’ll keep my distance from l'objet d'art

Small red circles,
yellow and white,
wired am I.
With every pulse
my calves dance
with my toes;
shins tense.

Next part:
"Nod when yes
blink when no.
You feel this?" Blink
"And this?" Blink
"Or this?" Blink
"You don't feel much, do you?"
Blink

Prods and probes
in blissfull numbness.

Old Twilight
resting by a garden path, I watched them lean into each other
like sodden loofers in a warm pool

then they rose to walk away and her voluminous dress, (silk)
danced a parachute ballet, caressing his tanned, mottled shins

and not heeding the peeling bell, he took her by the hand
to watch the balletic display...Coppelia or Giselle?

and he mused... would'nt it be swell to dance like Nureyev,
in $1000 shoes?...

At long last your lover's grips greet you, soft and familiar.
You step on the pedal that is home's threshold welcome;
Squishier than freshly baked bread, your buns are in the saddle.

You push off... your spirit turning over like a motor.
With silver satin streets sliding under your wheel,
Tickled by the wind in your hairy shins~ you squeal.

What does it mean to gasp, gasp, gasp Breathe Breath and am I alive or dead

clasping, holding firm
cradled in unnatural burn
ready to perish
they build their world
of wildflowers
cocooned
breathless build of agony
vainglorious vines
like golden twine
laying over ankles and shins
a blanket of ethereal sun
illuminating, encapsulating
their tethered world
masterpiece of royal robes
exotic dress
must surely finesse
after the kiss
morse code
of dots and dashes
ignored as the impassioned
rise and fall into oblivion
quickening death

After a Hiatus
After a hiatus
Getting back to your routine
Feels both strange and yet familiar
Or more likely, in-between.

So today I took the subway
‘Cause my quilting class begins.
I’d forgotten how the crowds get,
Bumping knees and toes and shins.

But at last I reunited
With my classmates, what a treat!
And arrived in time for claiming
What I think of as “my” seat.

It’s a pleasure to return to
Someplace where you feel at ease
Though when there is a hiatus,
There can be no guarantees....
