Tender, Bruised and Scarred.

Grief that constricts my heart,
Cages its screaming walls,
Grinding its bars roughly into its flesh…
Where they meet, blood oozes,
Life does what it chooses,
Heart shies away from the pain of its mesh.

Sunrise

Sun shines slowly on the horizon,
Rising from the gloomy dawn;
Morning dew shies away,
Misty clouds make way;
Hot noon and evening,
Illuminating things living;
As twilight sets in soon,
Dawn brings in moon;
Cool breeze so rustic,
Makes me feel mystic.

tugwell diversity

She sits furlong
the race has been won
saddled on the mountain top
why equate the drilled
laying like searchlight beams

She waits for the birman
with wings on her mind
straight laced
she race you for fun
Venus on the edge
shared shies
she unfathom you

To Love You More

I don’t want to be the one who shies away
and loves you less

I don’t want to be the one asleep
while you’re awake

I don’t want to be the keeper of secrets
you cannot share

I don’t want to be the one you miss
—until I’m gone

No Kiss me Quicks, no giggling girls,
no candy floss, no strawberry swirls,
no shuggy boats or bright blue skies
no donkey rides or coconut shies,
no arcade fun, no fishing off the pier,
no slot machines, no ginger beer.
November blues, an empty prom,
to sunny Spain they’ve all moved on.

In bed looking out my window... (sighs)
up at the moon with leaden eyes
approaching bleak scarlet skies
dawns spell prompt to arise.
Fawn forages prize
roses, surprise
at moms cries,
it shies,
flies.

Trapped

A want so strong he shies away.
A love so deep he dares not weep.
A dagger felt in his high.
A mist that blinds the untrained eye.
A reach the falls just sort of clouds.
A doubt that take by surprise.
A hunger far stronger still, to stand and fight upon this hill.
And yet for now he must stand still.

Alive

It beats, It flutters
Its strong, Its weak
It bleeds, It heals
It hungers, It feasts
It breaks, It mends
It suffers, It flourishes

Its warm, Its cold
It makes a stand, It shies away
Its hopeful, Its hopeless
It desires, It repels
It takes, It gives

Boundless or bound
Free or held down
The human spirit beats with a life whether known or unknown...

Stark against the skyline
On a pinnacle he stands,
Tranquility and peace divine,
In the domain he commands.

Leaping and bounding ever free,
And humbly we try to follow,
When approached he shies timidly,
And runs to the rest in the hollow.

Always proving his superiority
While moving so gracefully too,
Humans only have authority
To appreciate the view.

Candles burn within the hollow of a skull Brightly illuminates the darkest of rooms Where witches meander about and mull Getting ready to fly away with their brooms At the door would certainly be a black cat Casting evil curses on the welcome mat He then shies away at the incoming bunch Halloween trick or treaters with stuff to munch

The Wind of Love

Love is like the wind
It is gentle in the morning
At noon it shies away
In the evening it's frosty

The warmth of caressing
Often happens in the evening
For the frosty wind blowing
Enlivens the flame of loving

The wind of love is so docile
It warms the heart with sweet smile
When no hope is left to dwell
It casts the wonders of its spell

Black Cricket

Black Cricket

Black cricket moves along the forest floor
Soundless with no legs
Lost them in a fight along the food chain
A predator, a mantis, is somewhat nourished
Cricket shies away from battles now
It edges forward almost like a turtle
Drinks a drop of water
Remembers the war is over
The water falls and rainless storms
Are buried in the jungle
Cricket moves to the edge of night
Its only home

Imagination

Holy wings, dawning from heaven
Flaming flare and crown of golden
With feathers, as white as the snow
Even the sun shies from its glow

Her mighty fair commands the sky
Her fairness glows in mountains high
Down to the rivers and the seas
Her charming grace gives birth to peace

Even the night becomes the day
Toiling becomes a holiday
For the gorgeous glow of her charm
Gives a feeling, cozy and warm

Rabbits- the First Impression

Do rabbits bite?
I sure hope not
‘Cause their fur’s so fluffy
Like my cat’s
And they are well rounded
Fat even,
They look cuddly
Like a hairy teddy
And I just have to touch them!

Slowly I reach my palm
Pause it above its skin

It doesn’t move away

So I lower my hand
And touch its nose
Gentle
It flinches a little
But stays on

I touch it again
But this time
It shies away.
And I smile in relief

rabbits don’t bite after all

When the Firefly Is Gone

Saša Milivojev - WHEN THE FIREFLY IS GONE

The tide shies away from the sand

Under the dark clouds

Someone is waiting

The lyre is calling for it

To fly down and shine

Fiery wires

Weave soft sentences

The water is still now

It’s turned to oil

The light speck has gone away

The lyre has fallen silent

And the shore remains deserted

Forever

unrecognized

you left me behind
when you ascended into the clouds
you weren't there
when they held me down and broke my wings
because they were scared of my potential
and perhaps they succeeded
in breaking my spirit
because i tremble when the wind blows
and see your face only in my dreams
i am afraid
for you to see this creature i have become
this wild thing
that shies from human touch
for how could you still know me
when i can't recognize myself?

Once a Bright Star

A bright star shimmers aloft,
amid the flimsy stars soft;
The Star grins bright,
even in the twilight;
Fellow stars envy,
make the star shies.

A nimbus cloud braces
mysterious moisture, embraces,
the star glittering bright;
Bright star loses all the light,
mislays its power, can't shine,
Now the fellow stars malign.

Yearning for the bright sky
the poor star desperately cries
Will the nimbus cloud budge?
Will primeval brightness nudge?

Vampire Eye

When one eye is injured
Be certain the other is hurt,
The connection is certain
In flickers of light transferred:
Seven days now,
My eye is dreading the sun,
It was a fight of the last,
Nothing left in between but the truth:
We should not have fought,
We did:
I hope we did not bury our love
When we buried her mother
The week before:
Now I am lonely, nursing a vampire's eye
It is only comfortable with the night,
It shies the sun.

COPLA 93 INVOCATION : This Bad Guy World

The lone wolf shies away from the pack
The tyrannosaur scoffs at his kind :
Systems with it

Tiglons roam lone on the beaten track -
Fall prey the gnu foal lame and blind :
Systems well-knit

Stand alone and the pack will hunt you
Lose your integrity to live safe :
The human fate

The Overman’ll camp on the volcano
Far from the humdrum crowd’s stifling life :
Asylum bait

Night and Rain

NIGHT AND RAIN

Up there in the sky,
Holding on, on so high..
Where the banana
shines and shies,
Smiling night after night
Giving ur light.

In the sad cloud,
Where tears are formed
And the thunder laugh
out loud.
In bits and drops, it falls.

Then in the morning
lights,
Where the dropped
tears
Marked mud against
The face of the earth.
Then children hopscotch
On the playground of
thrills.

27th February

It is the day when you were born
In a family educated well known.
Spread fragrance with your smile
Gifted with talent and natural style.

How bewitching are your big eyes!
Before your face even Beauty shies.
How lucky I am to have your hand!
Feeling always as if in Divine Land.

So many things I have in my heart
We are one soul with double part.
On this eve something I want to say
Wishing my partner Happy Birthday.

The Enigma

Deeply engulfed in all her fears
empty eyes can only stare
Emotions hidden from her face
vanished now without a trace

Her heart is flooded from inside
drowning with the tears she cried
Unconcerned to turn the spout
to save herself and let it out

Stoical she might portray
Enigmatic some might say
Who destroyed this woman's prowess..
Who can abide in loneliness..

Left alone without remorse
she shies away from all recourse
As words still echo in her head
a loving soul is left for dead...
