Premium Member Steamy and Romantic
O, to write verse steamy and romantic
I perceived as a treat semantic

Alas and alack, 'twas an anvil's press
      A sea-wreck, I, of a murderess...

Premium Member Romantic Enchantment
Under a chandelier of crystal
   Two lovers kissed 'til
Their bottle of champagne
   Entirely drained

You may deem this romantic
   Or enchantment bacchantic ~
Though I am no mantic
   The distinction's strictly semantic...

Political correctness prevails
words dissemble & dissimulate,then
lose their meaning in semantic sounds.
Decadent hedonism,attired in faded
blue jeans,with fundamentalist fury
points its finger here,there everywhere
and for the past apologises yet…. fails,
Alice in Wonderland has
come to pass, but can never last....

Premium Member My Merlot Transformation
One glass of Merlot makes my innards tingle

Dry wine has a way of making me romantic

Two glasses blur my vision, but I'm eager to mingle

Half a carafe finds my language less than pedantic

No misinterpretation, dwell not on meanings semantic

Premium Member Generic Bleach
Little do I care if bleach is generic
Or if fabric softener or detergent
Some bad personality flaws become chronic
Little do I care, if well you really meant

What brings me care is negative remarks spoken_
Harsh words pour forth like rain released kinetic
Energy, power released never to be unbroken
Words that leave my heart's state of being semantic

Lead By Example
Lead By Example Horn Haiku

Lead by example
Which will be purpose driven
And meeting an end.

Being pragmatic
Should be part of semantic
And an open mind.

Being flamboyant
Always does seem self-serving
True Trump self-ethic.

Sad when defiled self
Took advantage of others
And self did proclaim.

Gift is from the source
Unless now unrecognized
Disappeared in space.

Semantic Intolerance
I remember this word, when it was a veritable curse;
It spoke of actions, beliefs, feelings and ideas that were
reprehensible and indefensible, only worthy of our condemnation

I remember when it was a vile and shameful descriptor;
It was synonymous for ignorance, hate, injustice, inhumanity
It was abhorrent, it was unforgivable, it was.....intolerable

Intolerance..... what has become of you?...
