Missin'
Used car salesman didn’t blink:
“None better!” said he with-a-wink
- With the hood open wide
- I'm seein’ inside:
Said: “Be better with an engine … don’t cha’ think?”...

Keep Me Dreamin'
Dark realities, keep me dreamin’
Don’t talk; I know what you’re seein’
Look at me, I’m sorry
I’ll forget, don’t worry

Your eyes, keep me dreamin’
But I know, I won’t find meanin’
Give me time, I’ll awaken
But surely, my dreams will’ve been forsaken...

Oh don't think that I ain't seein'
As you roll those purty eyes,'
And my man stands there a gawkin'
Like he'd won some sort of prize.

My ma taught me how to keep em
And to cut you down to size.
For there ain't no man worth havin'
Can resist my apple pies....

A Man Who Can'T Find His Faith
I took a step off the bridge to find out what I believe in
I Woke up bleedin, or do I thank God I’m breathin’?
Reality will blind you, like the sighted are seein'
Where will I find you? In the places past reason
I now can't deny you, but I can only go as far as just believin'...

Just Sittin'
Just sittin' on a bench
Whilin' away makin' no sense
Just contemplatin' the sky
Azure blue with clouds wheelin' by

Seein' the birds flyin' high
As they float and weave in the sky
Then a cool breeze brings us some relief
A summer's day will just reinforces your belief.

Wonderin and Waitin
Thinkin about you makes me feel good
Waitin and Wonderin when we will come face to face
Hearin your voice is like seein an angel

When me and you get together it will be like heaven on earth
Wonderin and Waitin on my dream girl to come
I think that I found her and Im Wonderin and Waitin to see if its you...

Jammin'
Miss my music
Miss my jams
Miss my friends
Even the musical hams

Used to be weekly at least
Now once a year would be a feast

Thought my hundreds of jam videos
Would keep me goin'
Well, now I know,
And it's showin'

I'm music starved...
Seein' old jams
Is like showing a starving man
A food commercial....

Oh don't think that I ain't seein
As you roll them purty eyes
And my man stands there a gogglin
Like he'd won some sorta prize.
My ma taught me aplenty
How to keep that man of mine
And how to reel him back in
When he gets too long a line.

You'll be feelin mighty foolish
When I cut you down to size,
For there ain't no man worth keepin
Can resist my apple pies.

Winters In Florida 2
sestets

Florida winters are not so keen.
Walking the beaches, I keep seein’
"my kids" or at least their dead ringers.
Can’t say I miss wet, sticky fingers,
cold shoulders, icy stares from my teens.
It’s warm hugs I miss, hugs that linger.

I can’t wait to get back home to Maine
and be welcomed by arms unrestrained.
Her weather left to God’s good graces;
Maine is not the coldest of places.
Of her stark wind and ice I’ll complain,
but she holds the warmest embraces....

Premium Member See Instead of Lookin
Lookin’s got nothin to do with seein.
Usually if you spend less time lookin,
you can maybe see just a little more.
But if you spend more time lookin you
understand even less of what you see,
cause the brain can only see one thought

                   at a time.

It’s all a matter of perception of what
you see and smell and comprehend
when you stop and absorb the signs.
The vision comes to those who wait
and understand, the less they have,
the more they can receive in due time....
