Just Not One of Yours

Ever thought that a watch
is a device
we have programmed
to duplicate a length of time
that we decided existed
Just take a sec
just not one of yours

Hackers

Hackers have been here.
They stole it all.
It makes me sad.
I cringe; I bawl.

Wait. Hold a sec.
Do I even know?
Of course I don’t
Computer, oh, so slow…

Love At First

Love at first
That's how I felt
Like a rottweiler
Wagging its tail
And my crush
Disappeared in a flush
From that sec
I knew it was she
First time we met
A woman I'd wed someday

I'Ve Begun

I've begun,
 I've surpassed.
I'm surprised, I could last.
I've passed.

 Wait a sec...
I've woken up, it's a trap.
The load hasn't vanished.

 Let me fall back asleep,
so my purity - I can keep.

What the Heck

When the sun don't shine, my stuff don't work They grind to a halt, look up at me and smirk They query, “what the heck” My reply, “wait just a sec” Blood will soon reach ya if only a squirt

I Look In His Eyes

I look in his eyes
I see more than life
I see chaos
I see hurt
I see pain
I see respect
I see loyalty
I see his love
I see his look in his eyes
I lost my breathing for a sec
I inhaled mesmerized
I look in his eyes
As he looks back

Brand New Sheets

Since am talking about sheets, i'll try not to talk about sex
And even better, i'll try not to talk about Alex

Can'T Wait Fishing Bait

CAN'T WAIT FISHING BAIT by James Edward Lee Sr.

I would go into the garage and…
Gather up all my fishing stuff.
Soon as I’m done head to car.
   Put key in ignition.
   On my way to lake
   All ready now.
   Wait a sec.
   Forgot
   BAIT

I dreamed I was drinking with Toulouse-Lautrec

I dreamed I was in Café Terrace with Toulouse-Lautrec.
We were downing glass after glass of orange triple sec.
And quite drunk, he muttered something that shocked me so ~
he slurred he'd eaten the ear of Vincent van Gogh!
And I jolted awake ~ sunflower bedsheet wrung around my neck.

Don and Haley

he never did anything wrong
then one day he met haley
who was a little bit shady
they began to date
their lives were filled with

one day they decided
to live amongest the
so haley chopped off her head
don was so depressed
so he pressed
a knife to neck

Babe

My Life To You Is Like Stars In The Sky
How You Give Me Kisses Till We Fall Asleep
When I Take Walks With You
We Both Smell That Fresh Breeze
You Make Me Smile
That Touch Through My Skin
Is Like A Warm Shower Taken In
So Many Things I Say To You
Like Babe I Love You..
So Sorry I Haven't Talk Or Text.
Miss You Every Sec

Life in the Country

Someone is wielding an axe or a hammer
It’s the only other noise beside a crow’s yammer
Dogs look down the hill, interested for a sec
Woods are thick, I see no pick or peck

Above the fog I hear a loud airplane
I follow its noise, then it is silent again
Life in the country on a gloomy misty day
Writing takes a bit of my boredom away

He waits in Ambush

   My soul eternal
     wrestles the devil infernal

  he waits in ambush
     perpetually, for me

  to forget, and disconnect
     from God Almighty

then rushes in to ruin and wreck
extinguishes in a sec, the Light

God gave me to spread throughout the world
leaving my conscience submerged, deeply disturbed...

Big Now

"Don't you spin your little head about it."
"But mama look at my face;
it's big now mama"

"Now don't be crying about it, Senny.
"But Papa I can't sleep.
What if I don't get better?"

"Why you shaking' honey?
It'll only take a sec;
a couple of molars."

"You'll be fine in a couple of days."
"But mama look at my face;
its so big now"

The I In Him

Integrity could be,
But dishonesty it is,
Maybe Intelligence,
Also understanding the worst!

The "it" could impel him,
But he's strong for.
Idiocy Baffles,
But in a sec he had immunity.

Igneous is his love,
Impassiveness is his pride
And imperial is his soul.
Though his flesh is impotent,
he could give life
by planting his seed.
and...?

Wait

The word wait is a weighty one.
Whichever way one wants to wish,
Wait is a whimsical whelp.

A wait for which one waits
works wonders without waning one's weight.
Why? Waiting whisks waiter's whole weight.

Wait for...wait on...wait with...wait by...
"Wait a sec"! What we want waits for no one.
One wonders, "Why"?

Only one word wins......."WOW"

Poetic Liscense

Take a glass
Less’n a gill
Add a heavy shot of coconut rum
a splash of Myers Dark
A shot of Triple sec
and a splash of creme de cocoa
Fill with black coffee
leave room for a little
light cream
If you’re hot
shave some ice into a larger glass
and pour it in
If you’re not
Sip it ‘til it’s gone
mango shavings
are optional
So is a dash of
Disaronno

Unplugged Energy

How has technology saved us?
The world almost runs itself
Digital empires in our hands
Keeping everything in demand
Just another buzz word again
What remains a classic lasts
Now becoming the end of this
The next best thing never is
Screens might be counterfeit
Put down the phone for a sec
You may just run into a pole
Look at the world around you
Do you feel your own energy?

The Jerk

I once had a boss with a twitch -
his head wasn't still for a sec
and jerked to the left all the time
(a wonder it stayed on his neck).
The guy was a terrible bore
and wasn't the nicest I've met,
but 'footie' was when he was great -
he'd head all the balls in the net.

Such a Mystery Is a Fish

Such a mystery is a fish
I wonder how a fish can pish
Then there's the matter of sleep at night
Does a fish have eyelids to block out sight?

Don't even ask me how they mate
For I've never seen one on a date
And as for where they hang their hats
Go find a fish who knows where he's at

So, as we consider this thorny puzzle---
Hey, wait a sec! ~ I just saw two fish nuzzle!

Spittle

Playing jigsaw with the clouds
Spoiler they just make one giant cloud
i know i shouldn't be allowed
light reflected in the raindrops
on the window glass
like a fractal demon mask
frozen mist
hangs around frame
sheltering from the obsidian rain
puddles tremble
light scratches across the sky
cloud haloed for a sec
thunder grumbles
missed the chance again
never to meet
my friend
