Listening To Bach
I crave the timeless peace and joy
This music often brings
To souls with whom the world would toy
And run around in rings.

Careless of mood, the master speaks
With string and pipe and voice;
No other strain my spirit seeks,
My Desert Island choice.

His counterpoint and melody
Shine through when days are dark;
None brings such solace yet, but he :
Johann Sebastian Bach....

Sebastian Fate once again
Looked, up into the sky
The bloody war was over
But the Quotes refused to die

He knew it was a matter
Of time till once again
He'd be called to fight
When another war begins

Stay tuned for The Poetry Wars !
I just want to add one thing
The Poetry war is just a product
of my imagination does not
reflect on PoetrySoup or its
members. Meant to entertain only.
Thank you !...

[curl Me I] We'Re Two of a Kind, Sebastian*
Curl me
The other way.
I do not please you this way.

Missing.
Wishing to
Reach out to touch you.

Hoping,
Hoping for you.
You hope for nothing that's worthy of you.

Teach me,
I will learn
To walk in only my shadow.

Refuse me.
I know not,
To abuse.

Milonga Triste
Bandoneon spins
Fibers of pain
Gossamer thin.

And I have danced
Tears off my soul;
Now it lies bare.

Under my feet
Dreams in the dust.
World’s saddest word:

Never.

The Sick Zebra
A zebra looked in the mirror one day

His stripes were fading from black to green

His eyes looked sallow and his stomach upset

Like when he ate too much candy on Halloween

He took some brown paint and covered his green stripes

Remembering the color wheel from third grade art

Brown plus green equals a return to black

He looked in the mirror and said, “Gee whiz! I’m smart!”

Sebastian Is Alive
Antonio saved me from the ship that sank. For bringing me ashore, I have him to thank. I am in a new land, and I am alive. However, I believe my twin sister did not survive. I must seek refuge in this strange territory. Antonio says he cannot go with me. He claims the Duke named Orsino is an adversary. So Antonio wishes me luck and gives me his money. Based on the play "Twelfth Night" by William Shakespeare

Meteorite
Meteorite

Comet, fast at last, Here!
Hidden from the storm,
Fires in the House of Glory,
Cards prepared to win.

Memphis, Minos, Minus,
Just another rhyme,
When you drop that dine,
Kidding or not!

Won that space & time
Destructive by force,
Concrete with desire,
Comes with fire!

Broken into pieces
There is no need.
For you to fuss or kid!
Time has gone, like a meteorite!

Antonio Thinks Cesario Is Sebastian
The law authorities apprehended a man named Antonio. I have never met him before as he is someone I don't know. He contends that a while ago, he gave me some money. Now he wants it back to pay for bail that would set him free. Antonio kept calling me "Sebastian"; this seemed like an oddity. This action suddenly got my mind to be thinking. Is it possible my brother survived the ship sinking? Based on the play "Twelfth Night" by William Shakespeare.
