Having fathered twenty children and always on his toes,
how did he ever find time to compose?

Andrea, that's very funny and a good question....I never knew how many kids he had. With so many, he could compose a tune in twenty notes. I just read that about 10 of them didn't reach adulthood. Dad really.

Google said two wives. First one died tragically. Probably had more kids with wife number 2. Ten of the 20 died young so he must have raised ten children to adulthood. Weird, huh?
