Halo-Halo
The bright sun was scourging hot
Under the blue beach
I craved for sugared dessert
Of cold milk, fruits, beans
Jellies, on top of
My sweet ice
Cream!...

The Last Laugh
Love laughs at life,
Scorns the scourging whip of years,
Dulls life’s sawing knife
And watersheds its tears.

Love smiles at death,
Soul withstanding soil,
Heaped upon the flesh whose breath
Expires. Love’s Death’s foil....

Jesus Christ suffered a bloody sweat
 a cruel scourging
was crowned with thorns and was crucified
Christ died on Good Friday
Christ suffered and died for our sins
Christ rose from the dead
Glorious and immortal
On Easter Sunday
The 3rd day after His death
After 40 days Christ ascended into heaven
The day on which He Ascended into heaven is called the Ascension day...

A Red Minute
Whilst a medley of us lied upon the flocculent canvas
An ever so comely sound had been shaped of the void
‘Twas the sharp sound of supremacy coming to pass

Though honored am I to speak
Upon the sweltering passion
‘Twas an invitation like none before
Scourging these bones of the dark
Of which they habitually drink

The quaking quite mollifyingly
Renders a sense of solidarity
To unfathomable tribulation...

For every truth I’ve sought, and found
I then discerned more lies around;
For every grace I got from God,
Received a scourging with His rod.
For love, and friends, and company,
Night vigils, fasts, and agony.
For coming closer to the Light,
My sins exposed upon the height;
Once mere clay, and sod, and mold,
Now glitter precious flecks of gold.

When I was young, oh life,
the breeze of your dreams gently caressed
my enchanted innocent heart
making it believe that all it wished for was
within the reach of the possible.

With the passing of unforgiving time though
and the coming of inescapable old age,
the scourging sun of merciless reality
evaporated youth's illusion:
Of impossibility's nonexistence!

Premium Member Without Dreams
An infinite scourging desert life would be
An endless journey into reality and schemes,
Without oases, where we could rest and cool
If wouldn't have had the chance to make dreams*

*Inspired by Eileen Manassian’s poem,A DREAM WITHIN REALITY.
And the comment I made: Without dreams ,life would be an endless journey on an infinite scourging desert, without ever finding an oasis to rest for to carry on your voyage!...

Haunt
That argument as dissident
confines as progress stays unkempt.
How single scourging, love unspent
so wastes in apathy to vent.

A time where virtue needs content
too often wrath builds is consent,
as sorrow latent, but then bent
while shadows focus to extent.

Consigning forecast so relent,
apology the needful meant
confuses like no words recant
confers its distance to distant.

And builds enactment's foolish flaunt,
so time away from Thee . . . is haunt!...

Conversion of Sacred Life Into Money
A depersonalized holocaust slowly proceeds
Under convertible assuaged currency
Separate disparate lives, anonymous dredging
Tear against the land, air, and crawling

Human hands finalized the creed
Scourging banks to let the biosphere bleed
Recognizing no natural dignity
Expect that converted into commodified property

Distraction allows us to peel away
Taking the mind narrower still
And filling the void with caramelized exchanges
Simply look away
The slave servitude continues...

Autumn's Final Toll
Chilling tides turn the leaves of my soul
For Summer's balmy days I pine and troll
Residual reams of light o'er slighted heart scroll
Scourging winds erode my wavering, intellectual pole
Truant feelings flood my sensory console
Alternating, rancid dreams my psyche patrol
Molting mind is making my wit drab, droll
Burrowing through lengthening nights; entrenched mole
Color blind, as metastasizing changes o'er my body roll
Twining memories strand my spirit on life's, rocky shoal...

WORDS - ALOUETTE

Nightmares in my skin;
Scourging deep within.
Blood and bones sizzling abreast...
Aged tired nerves plead
from words carving bleed
to screams of cruel arrest.

Head like tomb stillness
chaining rock stiffness.
Iron hurt span rumbling din.
To endure, my gong,
stopping a torch song.
Hence, be far in any sin.
