Premium Member To Follow, Or Not To Follow
I saluted in front of him and vowed,
“Sir, I’ll follow you anywhere, sir.”
The Lieutenant roared,
“You can’t follow in front of me.
Get to the rear!”...

Lovely Laura
To my once bright flame lovely Laura
who took the reigns of my fauna and flora
A timid fool was I
to have saluted goodbye
to her insistent Sodom and Gomorrah...

Patriotic cousins saluted the flag with respect.
Genuine pride in the USA they did reflect.
Their smiles were genuine, their clothes were pristine
Honesty and faith resonated from them with sheen....

A Dare Devil
Hercules was he like
Extremely handsome.

Idolized by women
Saluted by men.

Adored by many.

For me,not was he.
Rejected, yet loved.
Aware that it has to be, because
Upon his angelic face, lies a
Dare devils faith....

Premium Member We Sang, We Saluted
Remember when, 'way back then'
Our flag we flew -- to cheers, not boos

Old Glory, all saluted
No one taunted, no one hooted

'Star-Spangled Banner' folks sang
Off-key, tear-stained twang

We believed every word
Deep yearnings stirred...

They charged the Irish did, into a storm of flying steel and burning lead. Then, came a cry at Heaven’s gate, clear the way, ‘tis the Irish who have met their fate. The gate was opened, and the Irish marched through, the angels saluted, it is said that God did too....

Food Review
The aesthete bounds into the Bakery
He tasted all of the bread
To the village, the crumb tastes perfectly
Yet the contrarian said
I've tasted crust, and your bread is too sweet
I'll eat somewhere else instead
And the Baker saluted the foodie
Yet regarded the critic as phooey...

Technicolor 3
Daylight has cuffed the forsaken canyons
And as I am just rousing from a fair slumber
Saluted I am by a spectrum strangely colored smoke
Could it be possible that evolution advanced so hastily
The mist that is emitted from her orifice
Remind me of happy, platinum things
May her lips bear more phenomenons...

Dad
Dad saluted his great granddaughter Maia on skype
That was memorable  for me
Dad was a military man
A Brigadier General
They saluted him and not the other way around.

But to his 5 year old granddaughter
He wheeled himself in front of the computer
And saluted her.

What a wonderful moment!
I'll never ever forget that moment....

I suppose that I should apologize

   Cutting her off in traffic was unwise

      With finger she saluted

         Air with vile words polluted

            She clearly intended me to chastise

Gored Graves Womb
Here from the womb of a grave rose a carcass
Stabbed subterranean with a feudal dart
Crackled, corroded and combusted on every part
Heart seems to be sizzled and left apart.

All mighty above started crying in the clouds
Tears geared up the grimness and went gloomy
Smiles sacrificed their superiority,
saluted that venerated veteran of aspiring life....

Premium Member Brawlers Rondine
The sunset girls won’t be muted,
high-pitched voices are high dollar;
They’re fleeting cascades of color,
those ardent eyes aren’t diluted;
Lightning flashes undisputed
will break through any choke collar;
The sunset girls
are nothing if not sure-footed;
Never entertaining squalor
make no mistake call them brawlers;
Color blocked magic saluted
the sunset girls....

Premium Member The Setting Sun
Everyone
Worships
The rising Sun…
But,
Once
I bowed
Before a setting Sun
And saluted him!
I offered
My prayers
And vowed
Obeisance to him
The moment
He rose again,
He rushed
To my door
And,
Promised
To shine on me
Forever!
Since then,
I have spent
My days
And, nights
In the glory
Of bright Sunlight!
Since then,
I have never seen
The darkness of night!...

November Twenty-Second
Forty-eight years ago
JFK died.
If you were living then,
You must have cried.

TV ran on and on –
Pink hat and shots;
Oswald and Ruby
Connecting the dots.

Bloodstains on Jackie,
The LBJ pledge;
All of America
Sitting on edge.

John John saluted,
The widow in black.
Innocence ended
And never came back.

Each twenty-second
The month of November,
Those moments flash back
And I pause to remember....

Not a Scaffold
They whisper in hush tones
stealing glances askance
furtive and guilty
with their pant and skirt down.

He had walked in
when they were at it
he had built a lot of trust
that snapped phut.

But the snap was not fresh
this was a pretty old crash
for now he grinned ear to ear
and saluted the lucky guy.

And said thanks for sweeping
and the sleeping that I could not afford
here is my new bed
that's is really one,

and not a scaffold....

America's Patriots
As we rest weary on our soft beds of air,
Dreaming the DREAMS beyond, mortal compare.
Transversed wars and CONFLICTS, where no others would dare;
Done feats average AMERICANS see in their nightmares.
Carried our country's banners in foreign affairs;
Followed our bravest leaders in all types of warfare.
Saluted America's FLAG and recited the Lord's Prayer;
Never once did we ever falter, lag or despair.
Defeating our enemies on land, sea and air;
FREEDOM for each American - everywhere....
