Chaos
                   loud, wild
     rattling, upending, sabotaging
     Toxin, Despair, Remedy, Hope
    encouraging, stabilizing, healing
                  quiet, calm
                      Peace.

Premium Member Enemy- In a Me

Sometimes I like myself more than I should
Other I wonder how I ever could
I believe I'm My worst enemy
Sabotaging myself so as not to be free
A variety of drugs, gallons of booze
On and on like I've nothing to lose

Duty

Dutifully I sit at my dusty desk at dusk
Make magic from the musty mess I must
Fingers fidgeting fighting flight
Thoughts thinking a thousand thoughtless things
Suddenly something sublime sounds
Verily visions of verse vacillate
Jabbering joyously jaunty jumbled jargon
Sabotaging something so salacious

Giving someone something for nothing
Worst idea in the history of man

Yesterday's safety net expanded to universal permanent entitlements
~ Sabotaging esprit de corps with 'Gimme-what-I've-got-coming'

Terrain

In the dance between
the moon and grass,
There I stood indifferent
to the tears in my cheeks.
Once again I fall back
To the terrain
I hadn’t seen in a while

It welcomes me sweetly
While I desperately try to get away
Suffocating my sleep
Sabotaging my breath
Blurring my gaze
Slowly
Becoming home again

Loneliness

It’s quiet here
In my mind.
My mind is so loud
About how lonely my life is.

Loneliness has become
A huge part of my life
I cannot escape this feeling.

This ache in my heart,
This anger on my mind.

Tortured by this emptiness,
I can’t escape.

Surrounded by people.
Isolated by my mind,
These thoughts
Sabotaging my life.

When will it end.

An Ashtray Full of Goodbye

as if I didn't know it was you
after all this time
becoming nothing inside of me
I'm tired of carrying your leftovers
sabotaging my victories
you who saddened my planets
look up there the missiles strolling
already looking for people like us
look there among your memories
there must be something that justifies us
a damn happy breakfast
after absence
two or three tears
and an ashtray full of goodbye

To Be Content with One's Lot,
Without, one Overreaches,
Sabotaging Can, with Cannot,
Learning as such is Egregious,
Succumbing to an Ego Plot,
Cleverly Whispering 'Genius!'

Only Torah is Satisfying & Enjoyable,
Differentiate: 2 Exclusive Concepts,
Both, Not at Once Employable,
Enjoyment eventually Decrepits,
In the Ordinarily Pursuable,
Only the Extraordinary Has Both Exist!

Quick Fix

Sabotaging my dying will with small treats
Under hoping that sweets are not my only taking happiness
Greatly appreciated though the free quick fill of pizazz
Am I ever such a child when it comes to my share
Rare are the chances; for when you get older, not much candy is allowed

Relentless is my mouth for another taste
Urging is my body for a quicker pace
Simple are the treasures in my hand
Huzzah! A needed chocolate fix

My Dear Scarf

My dear scarf...

Winter nights on swarming streets,
a warm feeling you bring me.
To colds I was hard to get
with you around my neck.

Attractive you made me
and hid bad hair days.
A true catch I was with
you around my neck...

I knew not you were
a scarf to every lady.
You brought joy and warmth
to other necks.

At that moment you became
a serpent around my neck.
Strangling, suffocating and sabotaging
me for the rest of my life...

Everything, Love.

Music is everything, love.
And when you speak of music,
Every word you say is love -
Love for me, for you, for nothing,
I'm not sure -
But whatever the case,
I know that you get it.
And that's what's wrong.
You are everything, and love,
Are you?

Are you?
I doubt it.
My mind playing little self-
Sabotaging tricks once again.
But if it's the music...

It doesn't matter what why I'm doing.
It is.
And that's what's wrong.

Are you wrong?

Premium Member The Poet and the Jester (On Embracing Duality)

It is the conversation
between the poet and the jester.
The poet- with solemn introspection;
the jester- with careless regard,
each captivating the other.

It is the ultimate irony
of this unlikely coupling,
entwining their words,
combining truth and mischief,
sabotaging established decorum.

Neither threatened nor contrite,
nor challenging the others' wisdom,
but with enthusiastic fornication
and eager indecency
they consecrate their mutual madness

Unexpected Happiness

You make me happy,
A joy I've never known before—
A blissful love for life,
In you, I've found my home.

Unexpected love,
The best kind to discover,
It catches me by surprise,
With no doubt in my mind.

To begin a life with you,
Is all I wish to share.
Yet I scare myself endlessly,
Sabotaging what seems so fair.

This time, I pray it's different.
Let me wander through this uncharted land,
Eager for more yet weary of the outcome,
Captivated by love’s command.

Unloved

I too have been a victim
Of broken promises
Extended lies
At war with the world around me
At war with myself
Seeking out answers
And sabotaging my health
Went from zero to twenty
Covering my face with deceit
With happiness
One void became plenty
Drinking passion when my heart was feeling empty
Collapsing
Crying
In Doubt
Dying. Slacking.
Cracking my heart to see
Oceans burst out
Watching them fade
Drying little streams
Loving the wrong things
And unloving me

Where Do We Go From Here

Where do we go from here, my friends?
People down on themselves, in pain
Hurting others all around them, for spite
Unaware of the damage they do.

People down on themselves, in pain
Cussing, cursing, fighting, blaming, shaming
Unaware of the damage they do
Bruising, breaking, sabotaging, destroying

Cussing, cursing, fighting, blaming, shaming
Hurting others all around them, for spite
Bruising, breaking, sabotaging, destroying
Where do we go from here, my friends?
