Pairing of Shoes
two kinds of starlight
fashion their luster come eve
muddy and fiery--

“Ode to Rubber Boots”
By Rachel Heffington

In rubber boots you’re free to wade
Through puddle and through creek;
In rubbers you’re invincible!

My Hair
I have smooth hair,
I take lot of care,

They are very long,
Even thick and strong.

My hair are silky like silk
Because I drink milk.

I love my hair

Durex
Durex was popular in a NY condo
His wife was Kimono Toyota Hondo
                                       They went to Okamoto
Passed the night in a grotto
Left ratty rubbers in the bag of Londo

The journey

Pastels painting over cracks and crevices
cuts in canvas tapestry of life

Oils spilled on mosaics of passion
broken shards and fragmentations

Pencil drawings sketchy rubbers
contestations smudge enlighten darkness

Inks and doodles careful blue prints
fill fulfil meaning flowers colour life

Memories chiselled on tombstones
caress and blossom in purple and red

Molten Anger
And, it tore through dumb claim;
the fakes had commingled with
the truth. Nowhere my soul
found peace.

One by one shadows were losing
their skeletons. The tarnished face
was forced to recant its nose
and shrank into hole.

Blood grievously turned grey
and skin tanned blue in fierce withdrawl.

He tracked naked in squall
of abuse leaving the eyes for blind rubbers
and bald wolves.Legs tweet, the child
is coming back home.
