young moment spills
of fragrant wisp
imbuing new romps
that oh I taste
freedom again...
pulsed, enticed
by August's play--
a cycle in pure heat
lusting after joy, passion
in kiln of night's rapture

Forge free fancy
Arm ample art
Note now nicely
Cheer creates chart
Yonder yields yoke
Frame fleeting form
Inch ink invokes
Rich rapture romps
Meet movements meek
Set silence soars
Flame funny freak
Obsess odd oar
Ripe richness rest
Mind moving mess

Two ribbons
following
strands of her
golden hair
fall smoothly
from one big
perfect bow.
As she romps,
the ribbons
brightly swing
to and fro
as rosy
as our dear
sweet daughter’s
happy smile.

Softly spring's raindrops fell,
showering budding Magnola ,
tapping gutter post.
Within their song ,
your slow beating heart was lost.
Pure and true ,best friends we grew
Till fifteen years depart.
And I recall ,when raindrops fall
A waggling tail, romps in the yard
and head lap hugs we crossed....

I do not know?
Meek moments make,
Impulse inks ice;
Crazy charm cakes,
Rich rambles rise;
Obsess old oils.
Streak sanguine stops,
Thrust troubled toils;
Observe odd opts,
Remind ripe rogue;
Yes yields yonder.
Yield yester yoke,
Ask apt answer;
Rest rowdy romps,
Niche nurtures norm.

See simple sway
Wonder wise way
Live loud laughter
Bright blooms better
Poignant peace prompts
Rich rapture romps
Lovely lines lift
Glimpse glowing gift
Here with your best
Live sincere quest
Do all you can
To live your plan
Cast your fond spell
Love this day well

Bullying lies
Feelings held hostage
Locked unopposed
Academic eyes

The pond has been drained
Replaced with a swamp

The facts mired out

Verse
Moon-scented I walk in dark
to put me back in place,
unwithered,
opening the inner casket for a glow.
Pleading not guilty
after killings in bed, of affectionate
kill of lies, a black widow
romps around with a flag of morality.
Was it a systemic swallowing
of a bait put up by a shipwreck ?
The bodies were flowing in a row
in caldron of acrimony.

I do not know?
Brave bold butterfly
Wander wonders why
Strange sadness supplies
See swirling smoke stacks
Lustre's loss looms lack
Sense sublime shore slack

Time tells trouble tales
Hurl hoarse hefty hails
Sad story soon sails
Pride paints pretty prompt
Reap ripe richer romps
Death dazzles dry dorm

Ah, playful is the gay coquette
who flits between the trees,
which stand around like marionettes
all swaying by degrees.
She romps along, red curls unbound
and flapping in the breeze,
her wrap lies low enfolded round
a figure made to squeeze
Let’s raise a glass to this dear lass
who never meant to tease,
or shake our heads at those instead
that try too hard to please.

Tales of O’Laddy and Lassie
A sly Irish snake named O’Laddy
Thought he could hide from St. Paddy
Hid in the clover
Devious rover
Found in green Irish stew ending badly.
Lassie the cow, wild Irish rover
Romps in the hay - rolls in mint clover
Her milk all shook up
Now things go a-muck
Sells minty shakes at McDrover's.

Drained fingers jot sweet memory
calling Pam’s name in every bloom,
as laced nights recall the glory
of fondness born from love’s heirloom...
Time pauses… her Glow swirls on trees
where romps christen fire tasting life..
And though wonder darts to appease
pale the ticks, yearning for dear wife.

At last I see her; my heart leaps.
A mermaid swims and romps.
Entranced the stars and fairies look
a twinkle in their eyes
as I inhale the salty air,
in shadows hid from sight.
She then emerges from the sea…
her skin dripping moonlight.

Xanadu may exude such percussive bliss
Youthful romps and a coy stolen kiss
Lightly tapping in jaunty melifulous splendor
Orpheus muse prances playfully tender
Pounding with swift light jazzy flourishes
Heart and soul the xylophone nourishes
Oblivious to troubles I cannot stop my feet
Notions of love brightly swing to the beat
Each crisply chimed note a gift beyond sweet

Her name is Apogee Sausalito,
she is tiny, feisty and black;
when she romps with Tricia,
she thinks she's a cat.
The crafty feline hides
on the dining room chair;
'round and 'round the table,
the dog circles her there.
Behind the tablecloth,
the cat keeps watch;
reaches out with her paw,
and gives S'Lito a swat.
It's a game they both love;
each day's regular routine,
we enjoy their frisky antics
with morning coffee and cream.

Please don’t make me wash the blood from my hair
I know it’s sticky but I don’t care
It’s a simple token of a night
Where for once my heart it felt alright
For once I felt I was one of the greats
I was accepted and happy which is never my fate
And on the last eve of my romps in the glory
My face and hair wound up a little gory
But I don’t mind. Please don’t make me. It just isn’t fair
To force me to wash memories from out of my hair

October Sun…!!! Our summer fun
and playful romps in clover,
our laid back days have gone their ways;
the equinox is over.
As climate drifts your orbit shifts
towards the Earth’s equator,
and you become the biased one,
the season’s arbitrator.
As foliage falls and coolness calls,
the days are growing shorter;
October Sun, the callous one,
the summertime’s exporter.

Get over it
is what they say
ivory towers
notwithstanding
Move on your way
in flippant reply
darkness is not a place
for you to abide
Be happy, my dear
you’ve so much here
to love and to do
and all those nice Jewish
boys looking for you
Little puppies, three in a row
to break my heart anew
as my little guy romps
with his daddy doodoo
Who are you to say what my heart
cannot feel?
It is mine.
Not yours.
Rhyme notwithstanding.

Losing a pet is like losing a piece of your soul,
A faithful companion, now gone, leaving a hole,
In your heart that feels raw and empty,
Memories of their love, oh so plenty.
Their wagging tail and gentle purr,
Their eyes that sparkled, so pure,
Their presence brought joy and light,
Now replaced by an endless night.
No more romps in the backyard,
No more cuddles, no more guard,
A void that cannot be filled,
A wound that cannot be healed.
Goodbye, old furry friend.
