We need change,
change in elections,
limit them to two years,
watch their reaction.....

Time gives them comfort,
this is not good,
let us keep them honest,
like they should.

Stop corruption,
once and for all,
two years then you are out,
voters roll call.........

Remembering those of whom I would have never known
Their sweet faces fading from the winds of life
Never forgotten, their blood flowed for justice and freedom.
The remnant of what is left lives on in the faces of those who still fight for it....

Through threaded clouds a misty light protruded beamingly
As if to answer roll-call a misty light so seemingly

A cataclysmic display of exuberance dispensing a joyous light
Am I correct or wrong even in this vivid spectacular at night

The moon plays her chords with a happy smile to display
Her superiority in height never needing to say

Often a country will plough over its dead.
Flowers planted; parks landscaped
over the biographies of the brave.
To read the fallen, to honor the dead and the living
we must gouge out the forgetting,
shake the roots of heaven, name the roll call
of each damnable war one hero at a time,
one loss at a time -
for each survivor there is always some loss.
Bless the memory, write down the word 'freedom'
as if we who stay at home
had always fought for it....
