my mama was a sticky note
my daddy a ball point pen
and i was their little reminder
of how much love they were in
So what’s to say
About tomorrow
Or today
Can it spill over
Until what’s done
Just remains
A reminder
Of painful days
the sound of buzzing
announcing his intention
a sharp reminder
not to ignore a warning
ice melting down my shirt sleeve
stained glass sunrise
beveled ideas in orange sky
reminder that god has this
and me and you
He is the ultimate designer
Exquisite beings are we that inhabit this terrestrial sphere.

I'll bid you adieu on the shore
waiting for destined waves to swallow
in a feeble attempt to follow
emotions for ever more
Even though hurting you
Is the very last thing I want to do
Not to tell you this would be remiss
It is still on the list.
Form:
Soul charring resentment
Flaming fault at the core of my being
Pulsating regret the burning reminder
Of my self-chosen fate
Planted as seeds by kings
our constant reminder they're mark
as memories held within rings
each living in their own bark
Stretching across sky,
Reminder of the promise;
Wonderfully displayed.

Leonard Cohen…
an unfinished poem
blowing in the wind
forever a reminder
—to start again
(The Main Point: January, 1972)
I can still hear the
echoes from the darkness
even though you are gone
it is a reminder
that you will be with
me always
Hope is never hope
Without a wonder?
Hope is a slender
A jest reminder
Hope is the preset of FAITH
I dropped a coin into the slot
And when it stopped all I got
A reminder of what I lost
Now once again be damned the cost
Blue bells engraved on
gold locket against my breast
reminder of love
when time carelessly spent in
lying on the meadow green
SUMMER’S END
one gorgeous red rose
aflame in the morning sun
throbbing all alone
both sentinel reminder
and summer’s glorious end
Last glimpse of burnt orange
Before it decends behind cotton clouds
Leaving just a hint
As a reminder

Lost in the garden labyrinth
Distracted by concerns of time
While granite quickly turns to dust --
I forgot, none of this is mine
An open link
There is
Morn, noon, night
To him above
Who knows
Our woes, wants
And sees everything
We do daily
Here on earth
must again repeat
don't whiz rim of toilet seat
gentlemen be neat

While your at it: Put the toilet
seat down!
A wag of the tail
those big brown eyes staring at me
~ a reminder it's feeding time

Roaring rushing waters
Singing a glorious song
Casting rainbows upward
A constant reminder
Of God's promise
To never flood the earth again
Form:
Encased in darkness
neither here there anywhere,
locked in misery
a reminder each day
the devil keeps his promise.
