A plant of significance and worth
regaled and loved somewhere on Earth
is a weed although it doesn't know it

Enchantment of her lips — a poem?
     Her brown-chiffon wings reverberate.
     Nutrients of the earth in her open beak.
“Sing, my darling, of pure sweet pleasure.”

Fighting the dragon demon

No task too rash,

Fear and torment by the score,
Overcome by pluck galore,
Each new day so full of life,
Little thought for pain or strife.

Such brave souls they shall not age,
Their deeds remembered stage by stage,

Honor, duty their one call....
