My Fickle Muse

I want not someone else’s words
              Though beautiful they are to me
Inspired, yes. I want to feel
         But let my words flow sure and free

My fickle muse awaits his call
               Yet bellows simply do not wake
And patience is now wearing thin
      This rest needs no more time to take

Is confidence the culprit here
                         Has insecurity prevailed  
I’m wishing, hoping fervently
                   My pen to swiftly be regaled

Mike, no matter what the subject, you have a way with words. It's not always easy....I sometimes struggle thinking of what to write...but then something always seems to strike. Good luck and smiles!!!

I just hate it when the ink well has dried up and you're left staring at a blank screen. It happens to us all Mike, then she turns up unannounced wondering what your problem is. Tom PS, think mines gone on an around the world cruise lol
