false hopes arise
the bravado of lionhearts descend

Groundhog Rebuked
Punxsutawney Phil
sees his shadow in February
and says six more weeks of winter.

That same day the first moth
of spring lands on my storm door
and says, “Wrong, Phil. I’m here.”

Calming the Storm
His disciples were at sea in a storm,
when to Jesus they cried out in alarm:
   “The waves are too steep;
   awake from your sleep!”
So he rebuked the wind and there was calm.

Trails End
Surrender a comfort,
ambition rebuked
Content in my history,
old passions to suit

New mountains stay virgin,
those summits I’ve climbed
All truth in reflection
—whose peace I now find

anticipation
cradled in the arms
           of hope
lies in wait
      in the aisles
of the innocent mind;
so frail
steadily eroded
        by experience,
riffled by
    the wind of reality,
rebuked by
   a negative word...

The Healer My Faith Pt.4
Left the Synagogue
Went to Simons house
His Mother-in Law
Had a high fever
Jesus rebuked it

The people came
With much sickness
He layed his hands
And healed them all

Demons left
They shouted
Son of God

My Love
My Life

Healed...

JUST AN OLD MAN

There’s an old man;
No one loves him;
People just ignore him;
Rigid and cold, rebuked and scorn;
A lot of knowledge in him;
Did I mention no one knows him?
Just what is his name?
He’s the elder man that no one knows!!
Live or die he’s just an OLD guy!!

Sparrow Perched On My Head
Sparrow perched on my head;
whispered to me in the ear;
“Come let’s go to Virgin Island
I’ll carry you on my back.
and you will enjoy my turn
when I’m there right on your back.”
“Stop it,” I rebuked the mad bird
“How shall I conceive my babies?
by binary fusion?
by grafting?
is there Holy Spirit?
Devil, go away.
Never tempt someone’s mistress again.”...

Resolute
Unaware the battle has been won,
      His every ounce of blood now gone
A fallen soldier lay upon the battlefield
      His might and power not to yield
Faithful, genuine, simple and pure;
      His honor required that he endure.
For those he fought, he did not hate
      His now to endures that tempted fate
Must he be deemed unduly and rebuked.
        His patriotism, honor and death resolute...

To Save Your Life
Foretelling his suffering and rejection
Jesus spoke of coming crucifixion.
     When by Peter rebuked,
     “By Satan you've been duped;
you're thinking with human perception.”

“If you lose your life for my sake you'll save it,
but gaining the world your life would be forfeit.
     For this worldly fame
     would put you to shame
when the Son of Man in glory abhors it.”

Mark 8.31-38...

Premium Member Eager New Co Worker
Tendrils of absolute enthusiasm
Ooze out of Chase, our new eager recruit.
Let me get your coffee, he says to McFhazm.
The hardest guy to impress, the first one to shoot.
You and your newfangled ideas down, we all held our breath.
Too bad for you now, warns our other intern, Young Seth.
We thought Chase was crazy, and would get rebuked away.
But instead, McFhazm made him a V.P. by the end of the day....

O Far Snowy Forests
I am sorry
O far snowy forests
in her side
I am
sorry...
As i travel today
after long years
The love's old ways
I,
I just recall:
I resisted her and
rebuked
Spit and slapped
Rolled her wrist,
pushed and
thrashed
While tears rolled
down her flowery
face
And how
she had
blubbering begged
to go......

Premium Member Trials Often Present Opportunities
Trials Often Present Opportunities Written: by Miracle Man August 30, 2021 Jesus rebuked the wind and raging sea, so I believe and accept what God has for me. Sometimes things happen outside my norm, and faith is tested as I encounter each storm. I’ve tried Living life without undue misgiving, accepting each trial, as a normal part of living. When my storms come and troubles amass, I know all storms end, and this too shall pass.

Premium Member Wondering

As I sip my coffee,
Taking the sunrise in
Wondering if this will be the day,
Jesus comes again

Listen for the trumpet sound
But silence surrounds
Not this moment of my day
When my feet won’t stay on the ground

Then reality of the present
Sent by Satan’s voice
Enters my thoughts
Taking away my choice

I rebuked Satan in a firm stand
I will listen for the call
And you can’t trick me into sin
"Pon Christ’s firm foundation I laid my all

A Venomous Tree
Nocturnal anger claims the night,
Raging blows rained with might,
Vindictive tongues no truth in sight...
Feasted on carrion
As lies grow wings
Shallow perceptions
Matured not in spring,
To be clothed in white, And hate it sings...
Rebuked with blindness
On a day of sorrow,
When doors closed
Deprived of tomorrow,
To trudge in emptiness
in a world so shallow...
Bigotry is a venomous tree,
Its fruit brings so much misery,
In a world supposed to be free...
Such is bigotry......
