Notes About The Poem

Wondering

As I sip my coffee,
Taking the sunrise in
Wondering if this will be the day,
Jesus comes again

Listen for the trumpet sound
But silence surrounds
Not this moment of my day
When my feet won’t stay on the ground

Then reality of the present
Sent by Satan’s voice
Enters my thoughts
Taking away my choice

I rebuked Satan in a firm stand
I will listen for the call
And you can’t trick me into sin
"Pon Christ’s firm foundation I laid my all

He(the devil) is a sly old fox who comes in neatly packaged disguise looking like a good thing when it is a horrible nightmare in the end. Sara
