Disconnected

Hope lies bleeding down a well
    broken and afraid
Screams rebounding off the walls
Help stands distant on a hill
    silent and restrained
Dreams recurring of the falls

Never Again

.

         Behold a poet
rebounding yet again from
         another death

    Nephew to the poet

           die he did
             "once"
        saith Jehovah

         never again

Muhammed Peace Be Upon Him Messenger To Mankind

Universal love
Like a rose
Rejoicing in the giving
Of its fragrance
Wanting nothing in return,

Human spirit
Unconquerable
Rebounding from
Mans severest cruelty,

For the courageous
The worst adversities
Provide the most
Fertile soil
For the achievement
Of excellence
Of mind and character.

in this frail life we take solid form ~ bouncing shadows upon the walls

next life may hold shades of promise ~ perhaps an eternity for all

right now reflecting over past mistakes ~ are we making the right call

rebounding then failing each other ~ the drum beats to our own downfall

LIFE
                            goes on
                          we just be

                   our hourglass empties
and fills at the same time
death is merely a pinch point

       “cause slips through, rebounding effect”

Memories

Memories

I tuck memories into corners
Saving them for rainy days
When hope heaves
And spills like tears
Those days, those days
When light flickers into dying-light
And borrowed dreams are redemption
When faith wavers, faint as echoes
Rebounding off heartbeats
Slowed into sadness
Those days, those days
Slowing time into slow-mo
Till memories erupt like fire-flies
Filling the night sky with angel eyes

Unbearable Beauty In White

Unbearable beauty! Can I
ever describe how beautiful
your soul was and is to me?
What hue? Ah, color bountiful
are you, like a rainbow shot through
with spears of light. Color, color!
Rebounding hues ricocheting
everywhere. You are versicolor,
beauty that cannot be contained--
flying, dancing points of light,
the beauty of your spirit free,
the blend of every color, white.

Hesitant Heroics

There’s a bend on the end of the rainbow
Reflecting refractions of light
Promises written on water
Holiday nights of delight
Words shadow boxing on speakers
Rebounding resounding in rhyme
Spider webs sailing on sunsets
Floating on shadows of time
Alone on the edge of tomorrow
Hands holding tight to today
Sunlight as stardust exploding
In passion to just get away
Measured in decades of moments
Fear is reluctant to pay

Sad

As sinister repercussion denies salve,
I deal with Thee, in all I have.
Rebounding fate esteems its own faith's path,
while faith, as Godly reason never lathe -
is tried as empty, no one clad
in truth, deny their ministry of glad.

Oh love, that love were covering, were not fad,
a moment's hovering, a thought of had.
Some timeless truth between us, yet not add,
has neither emptied thee, or I - or bad ..
I love Thee so -
       ...respecting thee are sad!

Skyscream

In lieu of the bellowing silence

Lovely images of her serenade me

Into a sauntering wave of happiness

By the birth of her smile

An elegant radiance occurs

As faintly I swoon

A mutual reciprocation

Awakens from oblivion

Rebounding from upon my breath

If ever our fates were

Destined so suddenly to collide

If only she could taste

Of the passion echoing inside

All distance would perish

Existing as nothing more

Than a vanilla memory

THE SOUND OF A BELL

Love is not of the body
but a language every soul speaks
like a stubborn strand of hair
appearing where it’s least wanted.

No heart truly goes numb
no mind ever forgets
it only takes a deep breath
to face what lingers inside.

Love begins in silence
in that pause before the touch
the quiet before the bell
and the echo that follows after.

But heartbreak arrives louder
when the heart insists it won’t be fooled
turning the echo into proof
a sound of breaking, rebounding alone.

Ironbound

Last night a dream,
died in infancy, when you
were drawing a circle
of pain in rainbows.

The hurt of blind alleys,
and the rebounding image
of burnt-out candles in night.
The full moon will only enhance-

the burns. I do not want to talk
about the divine will of making
a baby, out of willing or unwilling
surrender. Lines are blurred.

You want to ask the moon-
Are you convinced, it was not
a rape ? A butterfly is snuffed out
in your palm, you do not know.
