Cycle of Rebounds

in this frail life we take solid form ~ bouncing shadows upon the walls

next life may hold shades of promise ~ perhaps an eternity for all

right now reflecting over past mistakes ~ are we making the right call

rebounding then failing each other ~ the drum beats to our own downfall

Thank you so much for your visits and kindness Paula, I found this one difficult to approach without writing a book, so tried to get my message across in monoku form, cheers David

I truly enjoyed your thoughts David, - the drum does beat to our downfall. In the Old Testament in the books of ECCLESIASTES AND ISAIAH it tells us to enjoy life as much as possible - Eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die - blessings and hugs my friend, Jennifer.

Hey I like the sound of that O.T. chapter Jennifer, so many people have no clue how fickle life can be, til it’s too late to enjoy, This particular contest I could write an entire encyclopaedia about and still not get across my view, so decided on brevity and syllables instead, cheers David

Interesting write, David, this life may be our hell, our death hope of peace. Good luck in the contest; Not one I would try.

I honestly had to dig deep on this one Eve, wasn’t really sure how to approach such a difficult subject, especially being agnostic, your so right this life could be anything and everything, as indeed so could death, I think the seeker likes to indulge every side of the story, cheers David

Thought provoking piece David, although we are slow in forthcoming to admitting our mistakes. Hope you weren't affected by Barra. Tom

Thanks Tom, it’s a hard one to call admitting to our mistakes, human nature tells me it’s generally when it’s too late, yeah we got a fair pounding earlier, but to be honest probably a bit overhyped, maybe I’m in the lee of the Wicklow mountains, cheers David
