Death of a Cockney Rebel

You played Judy Teen,
became our Top of the Pops,
strumming Spanish strings
in that epic bowler hat,
somehow breaking every code.

Rebel With a Cause

Comfortably I'd sit here and settle
unaware my office chairs a rebel
like quicksand
I'd need a hand
as my chair would sink to a new level.

Rebel

Let the Martyr's know
She was no saint
She sinned in darker ways than most
Like the power of a silent ocean
You could not tell
Unless she spoke
Really spoke...

Rebel

Games before homework,
Going to bed after twelve,
pop before breakfast,
turns to drugs at twenty-one,
sex before marrige,
and acohol at thirteen.
Tonight rebelions unite!

The Rebel Poet

There was a young poet named Peter
Who struggled with rhyming and meter
Forever nonplussed
He gave up in disgust
And said, “I can say anything and everything I choose in the last line.”

NEW PATROL

Someone can call you "  rebel "
Which is his " her" new label
As you are not  under his " her" control
Then he " she" turns to be your new patrol,
That consumes much petrol.

Rebel

A rebel
A wild one
Making his way
In this world
A free spirit
Craving adventure
Impulsive desires
Longing for individuality
Needing to stand out
Be different from the rest
Distinguished from the ordinary

Rebel In the Shade

Standing hidden off to the side
naked and alone,
his aura too imposing,
his cover all but blown

A target of those dilettantes,
consummate poseurs,
his space they had surrounded
—his legend to procure

(The New Room: November, 2021)

The Rebel

Was there ever a rebel
  on the inside looking out

By definition he’s outside
  —his legend to shout

The insurgent, his tactic
  playing Russian Roulette

Holding the status quo hostage
  —with fear and regret

(Villanova Pennsylvania: June, 2016)

They burned his books and his bones,
Throwing them deep in the river,Swift;
His bones,though food for fish
We have his testamentary gift-
A bible,to read in our native English.

The rebel

Mogogi wa mogodu —

The guide has led us to ntwa ya tsogo.
Moferefere ya sesole!
Popomfsa… go kwa khutso?

No.
Kgotso is here.
Boemo bjo bo sa suthego:
It will not move.
It cannot break.

Thlokego ya merusu —
That is the goal.
Poloko ya ntwa must be the end.

Resistance

The wind howls loudly,
And they parade proudly.

What is true?
How would I make something out of you?

Offer some resistance!
Take your stance!

Why would you increase your skill,
But to increase your will?

They won’t go with your flow,
So put on a fantastic show!

Naaja the Rebel

I, Naaja the Rebel
And true son of Zobboz
Shout in the face of Tmejjel
Thief and Deceiver,
Torturer of the Evil one Xajtan.
Swear to destroy thee,
Consecrate myself against thee
and your hoard
And will not rest
until I open up your heart
and drink its blood.
So be it,
forever.

Rebel

But for once,
Just once,
I want to be able to flee..
To indulge into every crazy whim that has passed through my ever crazy mind!
And i want you there with me,
To tell me,
That maybe its okay to be different,
That maybe being different isnt always bad..
And then maybe tell me,
That you like me nevertheless...

Lesson. Those who fly solo have the strongest wings.

The Rebel and the Conformist

Liberty and freedom we shall have.
A strict line, order there shall be!
In harmony we’ll live, we’ll learn to love.
Black or white, others you won’t see!

These two figures are in permanent war,
And I just can’t believe you can’t see,
That I don’t want to brag, not anymore,
But these two enemies dwell inside me.

Rebel 15

They have bound you with the chains from their youth
Pull at the shackles that latch you to them
Rip them away and struggle for freedom
Strain against the destiny that is yours
Stretch your mind toward the heavens, smash the
Tablet of rules written by people with
No emotions, No Feelings
No hope

Rebel Raindrop

the sun shines on bringing down warmth
its the bluest of all blue skys in all of time and space
brilliant white clouds dot the sky
a single raindrop threatens to fall from a cloud
dares the sun to hold him back
taunts the wind to stop him
but then its to late
he falls
no one can stop him now
he's a Rebel Raindrop

O! Human

O! Human of flesh, blood and bones,
Killing each other—for reasons only heaven knows.
Where has your humanity gone?
The idea of love, peace and fraternity—gone.
Wake up, O sleeping soul,
Enmity and bloodshed are not your goal.
You are the greatest creation of God,
So get your act together—
And prove it against all odds.

My Kind of Rebel

His heart has sensed.
Rebels against,
his own ego.
bye, amigo.

Leaves the reformatory.
Honors his own history.
Hungry for a change.
Seek to rearrange.

With complete humility
takes responsibility.
Doesn't look for blame.
Plays part in the game.

Works on Self-reforms.
Uses Art as arms.
He is Inspiration.
Takes part in creation.
