Sk8er
scraping and scrapping,
rolling on ramps,
trying tricks and falling flat.
Looking so determined although
you've been beaten,
just dont get anything,
scratched or swollen....

Unchanging Forecast
Summer heat ramps up.
My plans proceed in despair.
My spirit mired
~
My garden is parched.
I water plants as I can.
I fear some are missed.
~
They call out to me.
I can hear them in my dreams.
I sleep uneasy...

Skateboarding
Filling the breeze going through your hair
Hitting the ramps and getting air

Grinding the rails and riding around
Listen to your wheels what a wonderful sound

Doing heelflips, kickflips and pop shuvits too
I could never find anything else to do...

Skateboard
I am a goofy foot skate rider
Who loves to challenge my track fighter
We flip and roll our skates
Into the urban lanes,
On the ramps, curbs, rails and streets
Beaming fun, as we darkslide,
Jump, flip and fly
Just to turn clockwise, to
Make it home on time !...

Jump
Chairs lined with stripes,
green and white,
became ski jump ramps
for feelings, innocent and pure,
taking off from the edge
hoping to defy the gravity of fears.

Only a lucky few made it,
others turned into tears
landing on the grass of Green Park
as the warm air was getting dark....

Witch's heart
Nimbus sheathes, laden heart's dark swamps.
Gush the insides out, a hollow, eerie remain.
Crimson cascade moat round, forbid ramps.
Notions of brick and steel, power's sweet regain.
A firm cage hedges all woes of time's sharp pain.
Blithe strides bridge the cracks, prove feasible still.
No doors, no windows, locked in impossible will.

My Muse

Restless spirit of imagination sending daily inspirations
 No procrastination for her assignations;
Sees every clue in her investigations - 20/20 education
Tomatoes on freeway ramps variation - daisies in sidewalk perpetuation.

Premium Member Our Mazda Part 1
Poor old Mazda has now
gone to the graveyard in the sky.
There was nothing they could do
for her, no matter how hard they tried.
We only had her for a year,
Taking her away almost brought a tear.
Up the ramps and off she went,
Going wherever she was sent.
Probably to be melted down into a can of baked beans,
The end of all her hopes and dreams....

Cold Streets
Walking home down brick alleys,
I'd click my broken heels
off to feel bare feet on
fall's cold streets.
Sneaking home to an
apartment I lived in alone.
I'd watch the patterned
colors of row homes pass.
Greys, blues, and tans
sadly rolling down the hillside
in long stacks.
Sitting domino's on curved
ramps, just one push
and they could all collapse...

Premium Member The Battle of the Bulge
Experts summoned
  War whoops drum on

Speculation ramps up
  Excitement amps up

Convoys move out
  Generals air doubts

Battle lines drawn
  The conflict dawns

It does not go well at all
In the end heavy losses fall

The ground reeks of sweat
  The rivers unusually wet

Even the winners groan
  Misery's echo moans

Need I still divulge
  Only losers win the Battle
    ~ of the Midriff Bulge......

Garlic Knots
A garlic knot, when nice and hot,
Is something that I like a lot.
One little bite brings pure delight
And ramps my taste buds outta sight.

The oil does ooze and helps infuse
Each bite with flavor as one chews.
It makes a mess but nonetheless,
It’s worth a stain on shirt or dress.

A health food nut will spew his gut
On why such knots are evil, but
He might just find he’d change his mind
If on one garlic knot he dined!...

Premium Member No Bones About It
She’s taken to eating the people
The bones have all lost their allure
I’m uncertain the sudden attraction
And less so, the path to a cure

The dollhouse is going to need ramps
‘Cuz none of these people can walk
I found a chewed leg on the front lawn
It came as a bit of a shock

The upside is that we’re not ableist
Or that’s what the children report
But Dollmer is blitzen the yard now
Her poo’s filled with parts of all sorts...

Driving While Loud
The Loudest road in America
runs through a rolled out blueprint
of my thoughts today.

Eighteen wheelers hrough
neuron networks
blasting peripheral warning signals
on a numbed roadside flesh.

It is hard to hammer words together
amid the unruly traffic of this mind map
I am forced to navigate.

Yet poems come
even in the middle of war and chaos;
they emerge like rest stops or off ramps
on those long and dangerous highways
that thunder on to nowhere....

Premium Member Destination Is Our Choice
Destination Is Our Choice Written: by Miracle Man 7/4/2020 Life, Each of us is a vehicle traveling toward a destination. On a highway with no off ramps, that allows no u-turns. Only a rear view mirror reveals where we’ve been, and our destination is by choice. When our fuel tank reads empty- it’s too late. Ecclesiastes 11:3 “and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be”.

Highway 61 Then And Now
Too many
times
I walked down
that road

Too many
signs
said “lighten
your load”

Too many
faces
came out of
the rain

Too many
phrases
I couldn’t
explain

(now)

Too many
voices
attract
and repel

Too many
choices
heaven
or hell

Too many
warnings
in search
of an ear

Too many
mornings
in love
with my fear

Too many
chances
to hide
from the change

Too many
off ramps
 that lead
— to more pain
