Those Brothers Grimm

   Axioms, theorems, rules of thumb
      hypotheses, conundrums

Pursuers of knowledge, those Brothers Grimm ~
Hansel and Gretel’s trail of crumbs

why do moths fly in circles

why do moths fly in circles toward light at night?
Are they trying to shake pursuers, do they feel fright?
Actually, they turn toward source where they see the most bright
Which causes a circular or spiral pattern in their evening night flight.

She Held Him Until the Morn

He ran through the city,
His pursuers being distanced every step he took,
He hitched a lift to there,
His lover's cottage,
He found the key under the flowerpot,
And snuck into her room,
It was close this time he said,
She sighed,
Undressed him,
And held him tight,
Until morn.

Great Escape

Going to getaway
Run as fast as I can
Every step I take will get me to where I want to be
Attempt failed
They keep finding me

Escaped my captives
Speed is the essence
Can’t see where I’m going
Another jump and I will be free
Pursuers chase me
Ended badly I have a new collar that tracks me

The Pursuers

The pursuers

Under the celestial awing
there are degrees of darkness
stygian and silky night-blue.
Secret light seeps out of hurts
soon absorbed by night´s hue.
By the quay, lovers watch the light
Commit suicide in dark waters.
Night prowlers with knives
killing someone with a passion
and bath in blood at midnight.

Intelligent Spiritual and Beautiful

Men gave this Roman goddess the rush
A woman of substance, she did not fall at anyone’s feet
Her mind was armed with scientific theories
Her ideals were beyond the comprehension of many

She was polite, letting her pursuers slide down easily off her pedestal
She became a known woman with a mission statement
A Roman Goddess with goals, dreams and purposes
As intelligent and spiritual as she was beautiful

Race Relations

They run faster because they’re being chased
They turned their velocity into Olympic Gold Medals
And their pursuers are those whose hands rock the cradle

While they thought the runners were sleeping
They were patiently waiting for their season
And this is their reason

They know when they compete they will win
While their pursuers wallow in their sins
Because now they are where the pursued had been
And that's the end

Portraits

Portraits

portraits of free radical pursuers
June and ruin
to all inducers frame from the past
lie here in the grass
bend the time back with a piece of paper
then think of ways to change the advent
crippled riddled with dimples
small holes in our own atmosphere
steer northward and you will notice
large and decibular clauses and loud noises
people get upset and leave the quarry
that’s for another story

A Marriage To Escape Being Dissolved

For what Baptism has left unsolved
Any Darwinian hope for the Newly Evolved?
There mustn’t be another vile scar
From a cheating on a flying car!

Vera should’ve the thing tried at some bar,
Just for her man, everywhere A Star,
To pursuers unreachable because far …

Yes, round The Scandalous had the thing revolved,
The subject not likely to be absolved,
Because of the inglorious lot involved
And an infuriating infidelity scarcely resolved…

A marriage to escape being dissolved
