Premium Member ....And Light Laps the Rocks

and light laps the rocks
drooling on the crack of dawn
food for candy thoughts

quick licks trick the lip
hot, hot, fort, in disarray
oh, pur, pur, again

He Says She Says

He says it was all her
She says it was all him
He took away her gentle pur
She made his flame grow dim

He still thinks of her
She still thinks of him
Her hesitant indecisiveness left doubt leaving him unsure
His unspoken words left her hanging on a limb

If the dark angel
rings your bell,
oftimes a simple muse
will become our hell-
If on enticement's path
the furies we chance
pur inspiration is led
a merry dance-
If time lies idle
upon our hands
and to soft whispers,we hark,
our endeavours miss the mark

Listen close,which twin to choose
Enticement's fury or inspiration's muse

Kenya My Country

It seems so far yet so near
we must get there without fear
this is something we hoped each year
and now at fifty years we still must steer
to build Kenya our country so dear.
fifty years we are not still at pur
But look back and see we are from far
we have wanted always to shine like a star
and in our effort us nothing is going to bar
to build Kenya our country which is so dear

How warm the sun upon my face
The morning beauty fills my sight;
With creative, expressive grace
Coloured blue,yellow green and white.
                    A solstice June
                    Mid-summer tune
Fills heart and mind with pur delight.

Inspired by George Herbert's poem 'The Flower' a heptad verse comprising a quatrian/couplet
and final line in 8/8/8/8/4/4/8 yllables ryhme scheme ababccb

Les Perce - Neige

Je vois partout de beaux bouquets
de clochettes blanches à l’air fragile ;
Ces petites fleurs aux têtes courbées
feuilles vert-foncé et tiges graciles.

Sur une pelouse forestière
un tapis blanc resplendissant
de têtes, inclinées en prière
annonce l’arrivée du printemps.

Sous les doux rayons du soleil
j’apprécie ce paysage si pur,
ces clochettes de l’espoir éveillent
la somnolence de la nature.

Is It Too Late

I am so scared
I never thought I would ever get paired
I don't know what to do
But I do know that I love you

But what if you don't want me?
How do I know if you want all we can be?
I know you have said it a million of times
But were you only searching for some rhymes?

And what about her?
I know she talks to you in a pur
She told me that she loves you
You must want all that you could do

I just can't decide
Is it too late to hide?

Thanks Nimrod

sometimes when
she speaks her
words fluidly
flow like a
time lapse
sunrise
that
ends
in a
smile

other times when
she's speaking
her every word
even every
syllable
seems
like a
pur
pose
ful

pianist picking particular
notes sharp or flat to
express exactly
that which is
meant to be
said so
that
there
is
no

mistake in what is said
but sadly all that that
is said she speaks
in Spanish
and that
is
Greek
to
me
?

Pepe Le Pew Raped My Cat

(This fictional poem is based on the cartoon character.)

I called the police and reported a rape and they rushed to where I live at.
But they beat me with their sticks when I told them that the victim was a cat.
Somehow my cat got a long streak of paint on her fur.
When Pepe Le Pew finished, she sure as hell didn't pur.
I gave him a good kick and I got sprayed.
I cut off his balls, he has seen better days.
He treated my cat like a whore.
He won't rape cats anymore

A Silent Thunder

The dark clouds pur,
And there's nothing but blur.
While the cool breeze whispers ,
The thunder awaits to strike.

The grass murmurs,
A big storm is coming.
And the lightning has struck,
The thunder awaits to strike.

On a quiet full moon night,
The cricket are chirping.
A cloud bursts into droplets of water,
The thunder awaits to strike

Water is gushing down the gutters,
A long term of silence passes.
Boom! Goes the thunder,
Like a rhythm of an African drum.
