Brains

Why do our brains have thoughts?
Some things we are not taught,
Our brains came from God,
Still evolving, soar or plod.

Zen Mode

surrounded by unconscious minds
souls who are yet to awake
respecting their journey, we plod on
emoting love, for love’s sake

Have Faith In God

Have hope
Helps cope
All strife
Of life

Why plod
Says God
Am there
End tear

Just be
Carefree
God's love
True love

Wildest Imaginings On a First Poem Ramble

On a quaint country lane, my ”Downward Plod” poem whistled eerily.

A Moral Code

Do good, shun evil should be your code

As you plod life's treacherous road

Deer Gives Me a Gentle Nod

Deer gives me a gentle nod
Stepping daintier than plod
I smile a sweet hello
We do not have far to go

A sharp stick broken warns her
Bolt and gone in October
Autumn day with leaves so fair
Wise coolness in the air

It Comes From Faith

Stay strong with your beliefs forever
Never give up, hold your dreams tight
Plod forward through the trouble
Trust that sun will shed light
Embrace challenges
Move with changes
Gratitude
Comes from
Faith

Haiku- Quaternion-Morning Walk

the country stile
hedges an old meadow
I sit awhile

out of the blue
the honey bee
sings with delight

nearby in sunshine
a blackberry blossoms
winter's summer pudding

in the silence
my thoughts plod the path
of yesteryear

Rabbit Residual

Who did plod through the fresh laid sod
What plunderous rogue could be so treacherous
When did the fresh, bright mane garner brackish stain
Where did the stealthy herbivore dump digested core
Why did that silly hare his gastronomical fare share

Meadow Trolls

Grassy ponds heave
under the tread
of moss piglets.
Kraken of microscopic
significance,
fill the forms of waterbears.
Tardigrade leviathans
plod a sodden sod,
toil assiduously
in the marshy haze
until Bur-marigold
grow out
of their dead giant heads.

In a Hurry

Chipmunks scamper, dash and scurry,
Creatures always in a hurry.
If they'd learn to just relax
They'd bypass chipmunk heart attacks.

But type-A humans can relate;
We have to move and hate to wait.
Let others plod and take it slow;
Like chipmunks, we must go-go-go!

Sods Law

One step forwards two steps back

Life deals me a king it turns to a jack

Seems since i was born i was destined to fail

Im the consumate dog chasing its tail

But ill plod on and do it by the letter

The law of averages predicts its got to get better......hasnt it ?

Living Without

Plod into the dreary distance.
Look straight ahead and do not stray.
Nothing is past this existence.
Everything is black, white, and grey.

Calculate the measure of life.
Scales weigh product versus payment.
There’s no beauty and there’s no strife.
Death is flight from endless Present.

Mosquito and Me

Mosquito you have taken my blood
With a gentle bite, silently
And I am sure it is enough for you to plod
And provide the results of my blood
If you grow big with a clod,
My blood is fine and of good quality
But if you die I must rush to check the blood
Or else I will also die, silently.

We the Arcane

We, the Arcane, plod along,
Our faith keeps us strong,
If folk listen to us,
There'd be Peace, no fuss,
Far better than a bomb,
Prayers unite with aplomb,
Peace now! Damn right!
No need to get uptight,
Cost annihilation,
Faith leads liberation,
our faith keeps us strong,
Humans, plodding along...

Live Anew

English Haiku
Three Verse Poem©

Live Anew

I wish that I could
Begin anew as when I
Was born, make amends
Relive my whole life
And why I can’t is beyond
My thinking mind’s mind.

On I plod upon
This sod until death again
Let’s me live anew.

Unique

Wonderful unique sunrise
Above the misty vale
Clouds of magenta lie
Crisscrossed like a veil

Fanbrushed sand and whispy
Clouds adorn pale blue skies
As horizon turns to purple
Right before my sleepy eyes

Silhouetted trees stand
Limbs raised praising God
We should learn from them
Each moment praise as plod

The Dead Man's Clothes

Ward-robe, things are stacked,
Jackets hang along the rack.
Stale smell of time that’s spent,
Designate the absent gent.

Practised shoes beside the door,
Cease to plod the polished floor.
A wallet emptied of its cash,
A modicum of the dead mans stash.

Buried deep beneath the clay,
He won’t be coming back today.

March

The first two months we tromp and plod
Or trudge or slog or shuffle
While bundled up, accompanied
By cough or sneeze or snuffle.

But now the calendar has turned
And so our pace increases.
Think Sousa and start moving with
Your ear turned towards his pieces.

In other words, drop all that starch:
Today begins the month of MARCH!

Night Cordon

A cold damp wind hits you in the face
And the darkness closes in on you
Biting into you as you wait and stand
There is no more need to be concerned

For the longer you wait, the worm will turn
As the dog searches through the factory
Endless minutes plod on without hearing
Until the all clear is given to resume patrol.

Fear of Freedom

Enslaved by our senses Bemused by our mind We are in deep hypnosis Negating truth for touch kind Clinging to identity Unable to merge with God Living in bubbles illusion In darkness we so plod Release, release all knowing Relinquish each desire For within our heart burns Love and Light’s blissful fire 29-October-2022

In the House of the Cow

Shuffle, plod and now
I moo in the obedient line of cows

Hack, slash and cry
Concealed I stare blank down and sigh

Shovel, bend and pack
The meat cold slides now off my back

Eyes, ears and nose
Master seems to not need those

Revolt, stalk and stand
Burn through control the dirty brand

Whittle, shave and douse
The Cow in me supports the House

Ketchup On the Wall

There was a mighty head of state
who thought he was like God.
Within the prercincts of his house
all feared his heavy plod.
We now hear many stories,
 some of which appal,
of crashing crockery on the floor
 and ketchup on the wall,
and how the hand that held the helm
grabbed his driver's steering wheel.
Many a good ship did capsize
for want of a steady keel.
