Premium Member Thought of the day

although we’re from ego unchained
we’ve played out our role as ordained
intent’s pure and so we endure
blood that flows that soul be retrained

Premium Member Thought of the Day

As the unchanging screen of awareness
Upon which life impressions are played out
As luminous self-existent consciousness
no attribute exists where fears may sprout

Hushed Lovers

symbolistic clouds
visible heavens
between equators surround
delicious desire
hushed lovers on fire
remembering momemts
nature played out
undercover
grasping the past
crying nothing ever last

Iron, Smoke and Steel

You can see
trains
waiting in
the yard
Iron, Smoke and Steel
Our lives are played out
in the aftermath
of that
tune
Urban creatures
become one with
the city landscape
IRON, SMOKE and STEEL

Love

It is beautiful, yet strange.
A feeling that is hard to explain.
Definition unknown,
Yet the same.
A melodie sweetly played out of tune.
A rose freshly bloomed.
A stroll
A bewildered stare,
Memories shared.

Final Sunset Commands

I played out my string,
  I ran my race

My chaps are frayed,
  but spurs in place

Still one horse to ride,
  with saddle in hand

That last trail awaits,
 —final sunset commands

Deviant Urges

Deeply rooted dark desires
of every deviant sexual urge,
divine and unconscionably
naughty primordial nuances
of sensuality unscrupulously
played out in dreamt midnight
rendezvous or reality if you dare...

it's not so hard to swallow

Premium Member Hidden Path

A shadow falls over the ruins.
As the path leads her to where
She wants to go.
The adventures played out
In her mind.
Heading off the beaten path
Is what she read about
so many times.
In search of hidden gems
That sparkled and shined.

That Song

I long to hear that song again
Like it was when I first heard it
The pleasure of its newness
As it played out to the end

Close your eyes and see the lights
Psychedelic in pulsating colours
As you rocked the sound and look
Dig it and hear it as your sound.

Is It Just a Dream

In the evenings I can see myself
my movements throughout the day are played out in my head
the footprints in the snow, the car crunching along the black night road
I can hear the conversations played back to me along the wires
of wandering thoughts
and I think is it all just a dream?

Memories Coming By Candlelight - Minichu

the candle's haul —
blown from my lips on glass,
shearing fire falls

how the wick goes down,
left a shadow on smiling girl's cheeks from the frame,
picture played out now

stained
days
stay

the candle's haul —
left a shadow on smiling girl's cheeks from the frame,
stay

Premium Member Lets Be Real

True to myself
Let’s be real
I was an addict to your soul
The pain of it all
Never having it real
Just a feeling
I knew I was alone in this
What it was
It wasn’t real, it was only a fantasy
Played out in my head
I think I’m hurt
I think I’m hurt
You’re not real, you’re fake, gurl

Premium Member The Lives of a Note

If karma were a thing
I would say bad musical scores
get consigned
to live their next lives
as the symphony of unheard notes
played out on medical devices
until someone actually hears them
or they draw someone else back from the dead
in sheer desperation
having successfully escaped
hell

Never Apart

Quietly I sit and think of you
As my mind plays out in scenes too
In the sunshine of thousands of suns
Days together in our happiness won

My mind is a movie of played out scenes
Of us together in the love it means
And these treasures are close to my heart
For I know that in my soul we are never apart.

Marathon

marathon of deep seeded feelings
a long-distance emotional
endurance race to the finish
a maladaptive mental competition
that lasted an extremely long time
that want great lengths to try and
remain within the unhealthy contest
within the game that played out year
after year between the two hearts that
fell into the emotional trap long ago

Blameless

There are those who
are doomed
to be ruled
by the moon's pull
while stars clash;
who are double crossed
by Venus and Mars.
Those who bleed
are those who need
but never learn.

And there are
those who burn
those who love
only in hell.
Old tragedies
played out in pain
betrayed, denied
denied again.
Those who are
blameless
take the blame.

A Warrior's Chant

Wrapping letters around
  the conflict

A war played out
  with words

The fury of shouted
  diction

Slaying enemies still
  unheard

Shooting vision
  into the onslaught

Attacking silence
  as legion’s advance

Loading insight into
  the canons

Killing emptiness
  —with a warrior’s chant

This Game of Faces

this game of faces
played out pages fast,
fret filled thoughts, dark places
stuffed full brilliant cast,

dream parts falling
barked out loud,
haunting muse keeps calling
hid by gauzy shrouds,

but if "a little wise the best fools be"
can verse be looked upon so proudly,
or should we, as Mr. Bradbury agrees,
just be "stung with a theramin, loudly"?

Premium Member Contrasts

immaculate,
            yet plain
sepia like
          intervals:
laughter
           played out,
an absence
          of sounds
yet,
      reminders, remain:
contraindications
        & sway
back&forth,
respond
         with rage,
open up
        past bruises,
scream
        with frustration,
forget,
           then
                   sleep
