Remote Chance
The love of my life - on whom I dote
Was attacked in bed by Bill E. Goat
But she's rather plucky
And felt herself lucky
She could press REPLAY on the Remote....

X’s and o’s scratched on a bathroom wall,
I wonder did her sweet fairy tale last?
Precious moments tend to fly by so fast;
Seeing those letters I always recall
the woo you would use causing me to bawl;
That holy gaze forcing my eyes downcast;
X’s and o’s;
Do you remember that hard slip and fall?
Phony flirtation or true love unmasked,
what did you say when he finally asked?
Pressed ‘Playback’ in a sentimental stall,
x’s and o’s....

My Self Doubt
You asked me in
And held me up
Then threw me down
And made me doubt
Everything in my mind
Everything I try and rewind
And playback life scenarios
You just hang me out
And let me go
I was so stupid
Why didn’t I know?
This is how
Things would go
My life turned
Inside and then out
Bringing on my self doubt
Always living in a world
Without
Freedom and peace
You tried to make me see
But now you just leave
So just leave me
Alone in my pain and misery...

Path To Purgatory
Lost lives through love or lust are like the lingering Lazarus.
Envy in the depths of darkness, the death of desire
And Paused in a perpetual Purgatory, the past in pregnant playback.
Searched the furthest end of the galaxy for the answer
Every plea with self-persuaded penitence void of pleasure
Gazed into those pretty eyes and became mesmerised,
Only to find that the answer was with me all of the time.
Designed fail proof masochistic intentions of self demise....

Sonnet Xxxi Tribute To Grandma
First of all, Grandma left us.
Now Grandma’s gone to be with the Lord
But thank God I know better.

O death, where is thy sting?
O grave, where is thy victory?
I could pour out all the questions
But thank God, I know better.

It’s just a playback of the same old
Why You? Why Now? Why Lord?
Sufficient whys till infinite eternity
But thank God I know better.

Thank God I know better
That in Christ, it’s never goodbye
See You Later Grandma.
