Playback Rondine

X’s and o’s scratched on a bathroom wall, I wonder did her sweet fairy tale last? Precious moments tend to fly by so fast; Seeing those letters I always recall the woo you would use causing me to bawl; That holy gaze forcing my eyes downcast; X’s and o’s; Do you remember that hard slip and fall? Phony flirtation or true love unmasked, what did you say when he finally asked? Pressed ‘Playback’ in a sentimental stall, x’s and o’s.
