When I needn’t bother to write a phrase,
I can think of a rhyme in a dozen ways.
But when I have to, I sometimes find
I have to think, to use my mind.
I find it like biology class,
For there we get confused so fast.
We have a time telling xylem from phloem--

the dna profiles
of sparten apes, to get rid of
little god of dark cave-
someone is breathing violence
amidst the marigolds.
The frogs
are jumping to become
denizens of trees, but naked
