Infuriation
When happiness turns to snappiness,
Peppiness turns to pettiness....

Your love
Gives
Me release
From this
World of
Pettiness
And greed
In other words
Mama (mami)
You’re
What
I need...

With You Little
All the turns and detours I've taken
To free myself from mean people
Brought me here into your arms
The very realm of pettiness....

Silent
Floating in emptiness
Cold like ice
All around pettiness
Feels just right

Grip grabs tighter
It's falling apart
Look the outsider
With bleeding heart

Finally it's silent
Lasting for eternity
Finally, finally silence
Looking for harmony...

Premium Member Consumed
In times as these
and at our age
as we tread gently
towards the twilight
I’m always surprised
we’re not all obsessed
with cleaning up our act
trying our best
to make amends
instead of being
consumed
by greed
and
pettiness

Decisions
We are on a precipice of War
Yet you spurn the most skilled Knight
Just to stoke your selfish Desire?
You choose pettiness over the Realm

The tempest is Imminent
Yet you let the chief captain disembark
Just to assert your dominance against mutiny?
 You choose self-aggrandizement over Lives.

Oh Master!...

My Soul Doesn'T Hold An Ocean of Perfection
Passing by the human wrecks of society
Such tremendous inner discontent
My soul doesn't hold an ocean of perfection
yet not deprived nor desolate
To reject such savage greed
But close enough to vibrate my soul
To cease finding myself in a cauldron
of hatred and pettiness
Because the sorrows of this life
are not worthy.......

Art Critic
Out of the darkness
arises color burst

Van Gogh starry night sky style

The blues disappear in light burst
on my night sky

Resurrect your kind heart
from the pettiness of discontent

Your lack of talent at an old age
cripples your dry shriveled bean of a heart.

Lub-dub! Lub-dub! Lub-dub!? How many ticks
before the end?...

In Sorrow
There is a welcome soft sadness

One that tastes of joy and loss

Peaceful contemplation inviting

A road few can find, or cross

It wells from deep within the heart

Spreading, it opens to peace

A lonely openness expanding

In which fear and pettiness cease

And I am lost

A feather borne

Aloft wisps of emotion

Into the day reborn...

How Can I Prove
How can I prove
to you, you hoe,
I care more
for Hell below?

Leave me, go!
I wish you hell.
Please, oh please
fall down a well!

You sicken me
with your false smiles.
The hearts of lovers
in battered piles.

Such pettiness
what crooked lies
And yet to you
men swam like flies.

How can I prove
to you, you bitch,
I really want you
in a ditch....

The First Stone
. for public domain

No human justice is without flaw,
no law has suffered strain,
when mercy presides over court
in favor of its name.

The guilty thus be sentenced fair,
justice win the day,
pettiness shall be put to rest,
and evil lose its way.

Cast the first stone, if it must be,
so saith what is right,
but cast it truly, not in rage,
let justice rule, not spite....

Emptiness breeds pettiness
pettiness breeds bitterness
bitterness will motivate
a wickedness manipulates

the self righteous rise
with envious eyes
igniting lies
ruining lives

with empty time
and entitled minds
they hunt to find
and cause decline

emptiness filled with focus
petty hope to see you hopeless
bitterness now unnoticed
they live a life no one noticed...

Premium Member Please just put me down
I have a former neighbor, an older female friend,
who clearly does most thinking from the other end..
Many a time I should put my phone on mute.
Today she called chuckling, criticizing Blinken's tie and suit..
Failing to acknowledge nor recognize why he makes so
many trips to meet with our allies..
If I should regress to this level of pettiness whwen seventy-eight,
please just put me down.
I'd be deserving of my fate.....

Premium Member Christmas Wishing
What if Christmas was every day
Cheerful greetings for everyone
Hope and joy the currency
Ugly pettiness put aside
Smiles on faces young and old
Kindness at every corner
Warm thoughts of
Charity and goodness
No more lonely hearts
What if
What if

Premium Member Old Zanzibar
I am thinking of moving to old Zanzibar Where I shall relax and strum my guitar, Among the fields of cinnamon and clover Perhaps I shall invite a few friends over, To while away what is left of the day With a drink or two from a jar of clay, And philosophize on the rare idyllic life Free from rumor, pettiness, and strife, In the early morning considering the dew I will spend some time thinking of you.

Premium Member Pray Without Ceasing
Pray Without Ceasing Miracle Man December 12, 2023 The world has become filled, with hatred and division. Many times we let pettiness, impair our good vision. Compromise is a word, most no longer embrace. Which leads us full scale, in our effort to abase. We find it hard to ask, so instead, we demand. Seeking an advantage, to gain the upper hand. As a nation we’ve become, morally bankrupt today. Prayer changes things, but too many don’t pray.
