Old Zanzibar

I am thinking of moving to old Zanzibar
Where I shall relax and strum my guitar,
Among the fields of cinnamon and clover
Perhaps I shall invite a few friends over,
To while away what is left of the day
With a drink or two from a jar of clay,
And philosophize on the rare idyllic life
Free from rumor, pettiness, and strife,
In the early morning considering the dew
I will spend some time thinking of you.

If not, I would rather you stay in Kentucky even if there are tornadoes. We are pretty much immune (knock on wood) from that severe weather...although occasionally we have straight wind damage. Oh, I'm too old to go traipsing that far from the good ol' USA! I was close to Zanzibar when we were in Tanzania, but we did not go there.

I have been to Tanzania, but we didn't go to Zanzibar, which is an island very close by. It sounded like heaven to me.
