Premium Member When You're Seventy-Five
   When you're 75, you can say
     66 years ago, when I was nine

   Once I thought that pretty cool
     sure, I was a real fool

   Hey, I've survived three-quarters of a century
     as if life ~ were a vast penitentiary...

Premium Member The Watch
A man steals a hundred dollar watch to get money to feed his family.
He gets caught and thrown into a penitentiary.
The taxpayer tab for his incarceration will be extremely costly for us.
I think all would be better off if we just gave him the watch....

My Penitentiary
Not once did I note,
That the circumstances were of my own delineation,
Strapped in chains of my own making,
Entangled in a web of my own creation,
Incarcerated in a volary of my own making,
Now in the air casting castles of liberation,
Which I know too well may never come into being....

Crime - Question Without End
I
Crime yesterday may be "civil - ized" today
From debt, in England, sent famed Dickens ... Founding Father, Penn, to penitentiary

II

Rebellious America rejected debt as crime

Premium Member Broken Crayons Again
Scribble on the walls
with chaotic lipstick,
or maybe tag
with fine graffiti markers;

Make it nasty
or keep it classy;
Pure untamed spirit
with all of those wild colors;

It doesn’t need clarity
just some sincerity
to imprison an emotion
in an artistic penitentiary;

Led by a compass
back to where it all started;
Innocence and broken crayons
blend softly into art again....

Premium Member Evidentiary Penitentiary
Soaking suds at the pub
and somebody said, Son.
One just ain't enough
but three is too many.
And don't forget about when,
You're running on empty.
You want to paint the town.
With your fave gal Wendy.

Then the Judge says, now.
They have evidentiary.
I Gotta lock You down.
Inside the Penitentiary
And you're not getting out.
For half of this Century.

Seems like three.
May lead to tragedy....

2pac Rockd
Bullets all in my body
Should I die or sigh?
Hide in the penitentiary?
I'd rather get shot than cry

I won't ever sell my soul
Or straight fool my homys
I keep my forty down low
Not convicted just crazyz

Keep topin off my Hennessy
Let's party on into minnight
It's a lifestyle being an O.G.
Breakin charts left n right

My rappin got me here
I'm black and beautiful
Living away my fear
Naughty but spiritual...
