Premium Member Divine Ethos
Hatred hides in cloudy sinister mind, showers acid rain,
dissolves the hideous opaque heart of the hollow man.
Humane lamp of forgiveness illumines abyss of inert soul,
penitence purifies, limpid complete man gets divine ethos.

On the Iceberg
Saša Milivojev - ON THE ICEBERG

Perfection in feathers

A halo caught in black hair

My penitence eternal

As fear turns me

Into dust

My heart snaps

Like guitar strings

The body is not a body

As she won’t say

She also longs

To melt on the iceberg

Improvisation On a Landmine
your frightened sense is enough,
valor-wrapped
in braincell’s guts,
and this
because -

(two clicks watch)
one
man just went; and
I have drenched
your two dry sentries'
arteries
in a blood-shot tide.

precious rises
time and pressure
presses the vena cava;
will you split-run
at zero hours,
or lie alive,
(save one pump)
and bunk with
penitence?...

The Cost of Sins
The most religious among us sin,
whether we are aware or unaware,
God becomes offended by our disregard,
Although we may work hard for forgiveness
and God pays the price,
Human Beings hold on to grudges long
after God has whispered "Let Go",
and the cycle of penitence continues
until the matter has been beaten to death...
and there is no more satisfaction to be acquired....

Wordsworth
A voice perfection has conceived
Where once a fledgling had perceived
Divine an ingenuity
I now have found humanity

Yet pulses through Great Britain's veins
Your lasting boyish innocence
All I've struggled to obtain
A child's heart was its penitence

Of old perceiver, you are now portrayed
By cruder hands. Oh untainted mind!
Your rhyme and verse relentless time has weighed
Yet found have I a heart behind....

Youthful Guilt
Youthful Guilt

Penitence embedded his soul
For persuading his lover
To unite their labials:
Not deep but shallow felt.

The hormone spills out
Till he was tensed;
And inside him—
Concealed from the other flesh—
Oozed a yogurt-like liquid:
That makes the world enormous…

The dryness underneath
Was dampen and reeks—
Of creation gland—
But his inner man
Imaged in the Cross shrinks:
Evince youthful guilt...

Penance

A thousand souls queue
outside his confessional while
he scans the cards of sins.
How many
Hail Marys, Our Fathers,
rosaries will be
dealt today?

Wisely dispensed devotions
from behind the brown curtain,
the shadow grid,
will part God’s pearly gates
for a penitent multitude.

I’m at the back of the line
and worry I’ll not make it
to the booth in time.

Link (Bones 1)
in the skeletal belly of the whale
i sat in awe and reverence,
there hung the fishy tale
of how we came to be

in the skeletal belly of the whale
i dreamed a void of severence
from winds that charged the sail
upon the thriving sea

in the skeletal belly of the whale
primeval shards of relevance
turned my lustre pale
and cut my spirit free

in the skeletal belly of the whale
i bowed my head in penitence
and all to no avail
became as one with me...

Path To Purgatory
Lost lives through love or lust are like the lingering Lazarus.
Envy in the depths of darkness, the death of desire
And Paused in a perpetual Purgatory, the past in pregnant playback.
Searched the furthest end of the galaxy for the answer
Every plea with self-persuaded penitence void of pleasure
Gazed into those pretty eyes and became mesmerised,
Only to find that the answer was with me all of the time.
Designed fail proof masochistic intentions of self demise....

Corruption In Elysium
Stand before you take a bow,
think about us then and now.
Grant the sun another set
to polish this serrated day.
Show me what you can deduce
for splintered love we thrust obtuse.
If merged as one we do attempt
to leave this path we've led astray.

Do redeem the wayward doe,
with staunch eyes on grievous crow,
haunting skylines absent truth;
The once divine, nevermore.
To perceive pure innocence
is to pursue true penitence;
birthing promiscuous saints
from every celibate whore....
