Child chews on duvet
Ciggy smoke from living room
Hysterical voices.

Bedroom partitions
Eight layers of wallpapers
History smells bad.

Yule remembered
Christmas tree flung into snow
Police sirens laugh.

After festivities
We sell empty booze bottles
Go see a movie....

Unfurnished Mind
Oblong,
curved,
rectangular,
squared,
circular,
spherical,
hexagonal,
cubical,
and traingular,
these were and several others,
the shapes,
of millions,
of partitions in my memory,
I was looking to fit ideas of shapes similar,
but fits were far and wide,
I needed to stock likes and alikes,
but all lay strewn,
harried and troubled,
I had to admit,
that I had an unfurnished mind....

Love's More Than a Word
My love will follow you,
wherever you go,
even adrift.
It is youth, desire, recklessness,
animated by powerful desires --
to make love to you, kiss, caress,
without pause, without laziness.
Our eyes meet, embrace, find

abolish borders, ride the waves of hope,
define our happiness....

I tore my mind on a jagged sky
~Mickey Newberry

compartments
          and partitions
in through daydreams
          out through nightmares
prescriptions and non
          null and into the void
of expansion
          spirit and soul
confined then not
          I talk to God
while the Devil
          is eavesdropping

God
We made differences in humans,
We made the word 'I'.
Now he thinks,
Why did he make us?Why?
  He made this whole world,
  He only made the trees,
  He made the beautiful flowers,
He also made the hard working bees.
Yes,God made this world,
But not these painful partitions,
Yes,he made us,
But not different religions.
  He always holds my hand,
Whenever I fell and will fall,
  He only says one thing,
  Always love one and all.
