My Cat Is Becoming More Human Everyday
My cat is becoming more human every day,
She now wastes mountains of food just like us,
And ignores what nature provides just like us,
She is influenced by feel good pictures on unnecessary packaging,
Just like us,
She can no longer smell a rat, just like us....

Bleed Like Me
the body of me
you can’t get enough of
trying to get inside of
politely or otherwise
trying to control
always telling me
I have no control
policies policing
packaging and fleecing
theologically replacing
the body of me
all because you can’t
bleed like me

Oh No, the Heaven
The ancient times,
Buried the Genesis
Of today's psyches,
Recycled but deformed,
Stale and stinking-
Evolutionary idioms?
The visual décor
And the packaging
Of rotten,
Oh no, The heaven
Ruined with the billowing smokes,
Hiding the power of Sun,
Drumming the catastrophe....

Party
People arrive, bringing
presents which are wrapped in
pretty pink packaging.
Parents have organised
pizza and ice cream then
pamper sessions as treats -
pass the parcel's passé!

Jack 97
Thoughtfully wrapped and nicely presented
Sometimes even with ribbons and bows
This can be very pleasing on the eye
However, it’s the gift within that’s important
The packaging is superficial and often temporary
People are like presents
Value the inner gift of people
Value the inner You

Uncle Ben
The rice I use is Uncle Ben’s
Or was until today,
For just like Aunt Jemima,
Uncle Ben will go away.
He’s leaving with a friend of his
Named Mrs. Butterworth.
Like Aunt Jemima, she is known,
By many, for her girth.
To think of all that packaging
About to go to waste!
I hope that their replacements
Have, in both ways, better taste....

Kaitlyn Is My Name
K is the kisses you put on my lips.
A is the adoration I once held for you.
I is the ice you put in my heart when I found out.
T is the time I spent trying to forget.
L is the love I long for after what you did.
Y is you. Forever a part of me because
N is now. Who I am today.
How I've grown and how I've changed.
Some people are a gift.
You are a gift in pretty packaging.
You are a lesson
That changed me forever....

Toblerone
Perched up on the shelf
Watching me as I go by
Knowing that I can't resist
Your chocolate sugar high
Your triangular packaging
Triggers a pavlovian response
An uncontrollable craving
An undeniable want
Tearing off your paper foil
I'm torn with indecision
Knowing that the truth is
You've absolutely no nutrition
Too bad, the point is moot...
I gulp down a hefty chunk
And with a sinking feeling
Know my diet plans have sunk...

The Gift Wrapping
A foot large package mailed
From a dear friend to me
For my birthday on October.
I observe and deal with:
Why this freaky gift-wrapped
In the local newspaper?
The small card inside:
“Happy Birthday!”
And a well-known signature.
Wow! I’m totally screw up.
Misinterpreted!
Misconceived!
The outside of an object,
The beauty of packaging,
The clothing of people.
Why shouldn’t I focus
On the true value
Hidden in people’s heart?...

A Life In the Day of Facebook Twitter
How was your day ?
Well i had planned on buying myself
My favorite David Beckham fragrance
But ended up instead choosing
Blue Jeans by Versace
Because i liked the tin
It was packaged in
And now i stink
So today's lesson i learned is this
Rather stick to what you know
Than buying into glossy packaging
Like posting daily inconsequential
Fluff and empty air
On social network's
Like Instagram , Facebook and Twitter...

Going Green
Pain that builds in intensity
So many wounds to the heart
Our mother worn from assault
The earth doomed from the start?
The hour for healing is passing
Perhaps out best efforts to late
But we keep hope in the drumbeat
With sacrifice the rewards are great.
To try with each day of living
To cleanse and repair the earth
Each small effort is helping
Each green act has worth...
When feasable, please try to buy in bulk..saves packaging, (trees) and other resources....

Marketing
Fruitful marketing strategy
Is crucial for any industry
And service-provider
Everyone loves beautiful thing
So the packaging of products
Must be eye-catching
Advertisement
Should be in such an way
So that the potential consumers
Are attracted
To the product or service
Quality of the product or service
Should be of international standard
So that it can survive
In the competition
Of open market economy
In this way
An industry or service-provider
Can become successful...

Garbage - Wasteful Packaging
Our packaging simply is wrong
To hold things in place, safe and strong
The plastic hugs tight
The cardboard you fight
To open the product takes long!
And when you are done you will see
The thing you had purchased, might be
As small as your thumb
While you face huge sum
Of valueless outer debris!
Though this is just one type of waste
We could conquer this one with haste
Sell all products bare
No double-wrapped care
See tons of sales garbage erased!

I Know What It's Like To Be Cardboard
I just had a morbid thought
I know what it's like to be cardboard
this is my story
you may laugh, you may boo
but I know what it's like to be cardboard
and one day you may too.
I'm stiff today
I'm stiff everyday
I get soggy when I'm wet
But then I get stiff again
I'm afraid of fire
but aren't we all?
I came in pretty packaging
but now the paint's all gone
I break when I bend over
I need to help just to move
I hope one day to float
then be buried in the earth.
-thank you......
