I see the light slowly fading into the night. The sunrise kisses the horizon as my breath shallows. Always a sense of urgency and desperation for reasons unknown. Contintment is a vague feeling, overpowered by that alien anxiety. I lean back in my chair, almost falling backward, but not quite. It's just the feeling of almost falling that gets you. Of almost dieing... Of almost loving... Of almost living......

Promises to rid of shame

Overpowered by the vicissitudes of life,
The soul can be broken down and beaten
Like a sheaf of wheat at the threshing,
Where the chaff is tossed to the winds.
The good salvaged like grains of wheat,
Leavened and turned into sustenance,
Feeds a temporal home for a whole being
Who wanders through the fallow fields,
After the harvest and longs for eternity.

Women have a voice
Strength in their silence
They have caused heads to turn
Rocking the world with defiance.
Marie Currie turned the tide
Against male dominance
Mother Teresa the weaker side
Overpowered men of prominence
Much against their heaves and sighs
To save many without supplies.
Women are stronger now,
With social platforms giving voice
They control every rank
Which once, men them employed....

Train ride, in a windowless freight wagon, 
rocked back and forth,  with the clatter 
and vibration as it snaked on the rail score. 

Packed shoulder to shoulder,  
overpowered by their own stench. 

Separated from their families, 
unfed, with only snow to eat, 
cold, with only the bodies
next to them for warmth, 
as the train traveled for days. 

Resettlement to the East 
It was not fully understood, why?
