March To June
It was a thirty-one day March to get to May
Then when April approached I opted to stay
But us living together
Was all stormy weather
Until June smiled brightly and took me away...

How Low-Tech Canya Go :-'Insert Disallowed Question Mark Here'-:
The two for one price deal read “Open here”
with slick dotted lines and sharp arrows clear.
But false perforations
foiled nails, teeth and patience.
Surrendered, she opted for pop tab beer....

Zen Mode
having opted to wallow in the shallow
we feel fully, live fully, the sunken vibration
this too is a pulse and each pulse has a pause
the void of cessation is where we choose to dwell

Santa Had a Change of Aloha
There's Santa that came to Waikiki bay
On an outrigger canoe Christmas Day
He wore a grass hula skirt
And a large Aloha shirt
His course went astray he opted to play

Suffer :: Clogyrnach
Suffer
Are we losing faith on other?
Can we depend on another?
How can we neglect
age-old faith, respect?
Sans feeling, we'll suffer.

Fish Tales
’Twas Jonah the Lord God did teach,
When orders he opted to breach.
God’s porpoise not thwarted,
Escape was aborted,
With Jonah spit up on the beach.
If the fish had refused God right then,
Having tasted the flavor of men,
An immoral cetacean
That fell from creation,
Or a case of Original Fin?...

Playful Ascent
we opted for a want
to create a slight slant
in as an imbalance
although with nonchalance
that energies kinetic
pulse of love aesthetic
induces polarities to converge
manifesting a bliss surge
within
desires to rest lain
our wabi-sabi stain
shaped in line of duty
enhances our soul’s beauty...

Homage
A pious, mankind’s god,
Opted for his abode,
A secluded place
Amid untrodden ways
The white surf crown,
Behoves the emerald green ocean,
With the silver- sand beach,
Where he used to preach.
On that lone shore he left behind,
His foot prints on the strand,
Even the rising tide would not beat,
But pay homage to them and retreat!...

I do not know?
And So I Cried
I send you flowers by the drove
and all my fantasies
My heart beat in a steady rove
and all my love;
You opted to postpone me love ,
your sweet affection
was denied, and so I cried;
While all the flowers in my grove
dried up and died,
I gathered up my words
and all my fantasies
and took them home.

Probable Options In Life
Within mundane days
Countless options haunted once
Until best opted
Nothing rise nor fall
Only learning lessons gained
Real experience
Time and space don't bind
Anything comes in mind's eye
Heights and slopes achieved
Sparks of lights mingled
Consciousness creates matter
Reality without
Broader perception
Discerned beyond paradox
Life is a pattern....

Intense Tense
Just tense,
Doing many things,
At once,
Not one of them,
having wee bit sense,
many of them went astray,
tense began turning grey,
now error was the there more,
only a little correct came to fore,
now he was hopping mad,
as the tense became red,
he could have bust,
had he not opted for rest,
no sooner had he cooled,
he did another wrong,
and was again,
sounding loud the tense gong....

End of May
Peace, tranquility, and magnificent scope
Infused with endless light and hope.
Since we're nearing the cease of May.
Family and close friends also qualify.
While time passes without notice.
We may become lost in focus.
Until they were hit by a sudden storm.
Urging us to look for shelter to stay warm.
And pay attention to our environment.
Opted to uphold but lend a compliment.

Heed a Volcano Warning
May 18th, 1980
Mt. St. Helen erupted.
It was expected, many had escaped a bad fate.
Some opted to stay, wanting to go down in glory.
Two thousand square miles of trees were destroyed.
Mt. Pinatubo erupted eleven years later.
Both of these events reminiscent of the destruction of Pompeii.
Where twenty thousand people were not warned.
Many discovered permanently covered in molten lava
Volcanoes are no joke; heed her warnings my friend....

Faithless Hands
There were subtle declines,
still I opted for incompleteness.
A fierce battle was raging.
I think to start my descent
in roofless castle of mania
to watch the self-destruction of a landscape.
Thousands were squatting on mud tracks.
till the dead rise from their ice beds.
Ghostly hands were building the fire
to send the rivers in exile.
Hunger will decide the fate of the earth.
Man was playing with the sands.

Still Seventeen At Seventy
sunny morning bus ride,
her hair tousled happily
by the mountain breeze,
strands of it softly straying
across his grateful face;
ah, how beautiful she was,
captivating his coy heart,
but didn't have the words,
words that had the courage
to be heard and understood,
but froze in fear and opted
to wait for a better time,
she was then just seventeen,
and now well past seventy,
still his time has not come!...

The Suicidal
I thought you the most beautiful of women
Only waiting for you to come again
Knocking on my door at sunset lonely evening
I see you again and again
In so many tall and elegant bodies
And the fantastic turn of the head
The voice see-saw me in its ripples
And I will say that love is dead
And we are only cemeteries now,
All of us. I tried not to worship self,
To be different from your selfishness
In the end I opted never to suffer again -
And love fell bleeding at my feet....

Primary Vote
I went today to vote
In New York’s Primary election,
Where one will be the winner
And the other face rejection.
My husband voted early
And I know which way he went
So the scanning of my ballot
Made the truth quite evident:
We had nullified each other.
Thus, the outcome is the same
As if neither of us voted;
But just one of us can claim
That we opted for the winner.
Though our choices we’d defend,
He or she who picked the loser
Likely will not hear the end!...

Getting In the Swim
A chubby man whose name was Jim
Decided that he must get slim
He dived into the pool
But the silly old fool
Just forgot that he couldn’t swim
Poor Jim he just sunk like a stone
Some swimmers they heard his loud moan
They grabbed the life boat
And got Jim to float
Embarrassed, all Jim did was groan
Jim opted to learn how to swim
Then also enrolled at a gym
He lost loads of weight
Oh boy he looks great
His buddies now call him slim Jim

A Time For Grief
Since that fatal day began we were forced inside
and when churches closed all Gods people cried
yes we forgot how to pray, with voice and platitude
we opted for the lazy ways of lethargic lassitude
Time isn't promised as we wait on bended knee
and even though we know that Faith in God is key,
we choose to bathe our faces with tears of disbelief
for we have lost loved ones and are filled, with grief.
