I lie
Before you....
An open book...
You close the cover
Not wanting
To read...
A single page...
Of
who
I am

History Lesson

History is an open book
If we would just turn the pages.
Perhaps it is fear that prevents a look
At life throughout the ages?

Never Seen - Part 2

Look at the ground,
And look at the sky,
Look at the beauty,
All open wide,
Waiting for you,
Like an open book,
Ready for a new taker.

Lonely Silence of Age

Lonely Silence of Age

Cannot hear the silence of age;
Open book turn page by page;
Bottom of sea,
Quiet will be;
Of life does exist in each stage.

I may have been too easy a catch for some of the men.
I'm an open book they tend to never read to the end.
I give and give until I find my heart is in need of a mend.

Fierce Angel

Fierce Angel

With a sinister look
But amiable open book
Dangerous sharp glare
But so much love to share
Seriousness of a lone wolf
Playful & peaceful like a dove.

Walking over the concrete
Wishing you were here
I would be floating above the clouds
If I was with you, dear
I wouldn't have to say a word
All my thoughts you would know
Two minds in sync never have to speak
Oh, how I love you so

Her pregnancy was like an open book
quite readable with just a cursory look.
She wore a gown that trailed in white
and grinned a guiltless smile as bright.
And why not, white was only a tradition,
her virginity a sold out first edition.

Open Book

I'm an open book
but some of the pages are missing
it's not my fault I shut people out
all the pain I've felt
all the scars left by those
who I thought cared
it's hard for me
to surrender my story
but I will get there
and when I do
I will let you know

Have the Ability To Express Yourself

Have the ability to express yourself
So others can learn
Give them an opportunity
To gain knowledge in order to earn
The world is an open book
When a person can process information
One shall continue to edify themselves
And receive a valuable education

She is all about the sixties
Polka dot with stripes
Pinks, oranges and brilliant yellows.

With a hippie’s heart
An open book listener
Showing her love in a variety of ways

Encouraging community and respect
A Pied Piper of joy
She is all about the sixties

the evening
    we met by chance
             in the 'excuse me' dance.

     her eyes
           with a
demure look
   I read
      this open book
&
come hither glance

then
love
blossomed
            suddenly
to
become
        a lifetime romance

New Love

Are you for real?
Who you say you are?
If you are like an open book,
Open up and engulf me into you.
I want to read every page of your life;
To see the laughter and the tears;
To see why you are you.
You are my favorite main character,
and I can't get enough of you.
