History Lesson

History is an open book
If we would just turn the pages.
Perhaps it is fear that prevents a look
At life throughout the ages?

An open book it is, filled of stories past. The next is but a blank, as we enter tomorrows page with thanks. I so loved this history lesson Deb >> James :)

It is the season to give thanks...I wish to thank you for your support and friendship this past year (2010) Deb. May you and yours have a wonderful Holiday Season and may the New Year (2011) bring you and yours good health, and may your hearts be overflowing with love and happiness. Love and blessings always, Carol

Dear C.L. -- I took your advice and revised this one a bit, then added another just to follow up on the 'history repeats itself' theme. It is called 'History Repeated'. Thank you for the comments and the instructions on how best to write these. I hope you like the revision. And Michael, thank you for reading my poems. And for liking them. That, I think, is so very cool.
